Remember how - if you waded through my sea of Tumblr links - there were some links about how there'd been some sort of plot against Misha Collins and fandom instantly went full-on GRR ARGH MAMA BEAR? And remember how I couldn't find out what the plot had been?

Yeah. It was this. Seriously, that is just mean. Are alright, "mean" doesn't even begin to cover what this is, but I'd probably burn through my keyboard if I tried to write all applicable words down. And I'd probably have an aneurism coming up with them all. I'm just sitting here shaking my head in horror and shame and disgust and THERE ARE NOT ENOUGH ADJECTIVES TO DESCRIBE HOW I FEEL, OKAY?!?

Also, I made Fanart. Well, picspams. And macros. And "MUST. EXPRESS. FEELINGS." fanart-picspam-quote-meta-man-ape-gone-wrong thing. There's Supernatural, Doctor Who, Stonehenge Apocalypse and Firefly, some of them all mixed up like a Turkey stuffing. Read more... )

Thoughts on Castiel's Season Arc:

I've been scared for Castiel and his season arc for a while now, terrified that they're going to make him the villain, or have him do unforgivable things in the eyes of the Winchesters and the audience. Whilst editing a fanvid, I caught a chilling visual parallel: Hammer of the Gods vs Frontierland )

I am now terrified. People have been theorizing that Castiel is this season's Lucifer, and now it's all I can see coming.

I've recently zipped through Dharma and Greg's Season 1, because light-hearted comedy about nice people who love each other is perfect and just what one needs sometimes. Strange to think that the season is 14 years old now...

At the end of each episode, the executive producer Chuck Lore would leave a little text tid-bit for the pause-button quick. They're lovely little musings, totalling 13, and can be found below. Enjoy.

There's not much going on right now. I went to get my fiscal code on Friday, but they'd run out of numbers and had some computer trouble besides, so I left empty handed. I'm going to try again on Tuesday, because they're open in the afternoon on that day and you have to be there before they open if you want even the slimmest hope of being seen to.

Mom's in Spain as of Wednesday, so it's just Dad and me. I seem to get on better with my dad when my mom's not here, but even so, argh. Tomorrow we're going to a ballet - Swan Lake, methinks - and I've got to do all the things I meant to do today tomorrow because I'll be damned if I do them today. Which means German homework and CV rewrites and all that fun stuff, including the Fanfic which I stopped writing October 31st on account of Nano and haven't found the oompf to finish or even work on it yet.

(An aside to the gentlemen. Imagine that there is an invisible midget following you around. This midget's duty is grap hold of your testicles and give them a good solid crushing wrench. Whenever this happens, it triggers a debilitating and instantaneous bout of bowel-busting diarrhoea that leaves you hunched over a toilet for ten minutes, clammy and groaning. True Blood tonight! I demand more Eric booty! And I have a bunch of YouTube videos of Supernatural Conventions (feat. Misha Collins) to watch and squee over.

In other news, my volunteership's first day went well. I'm going to be translating the website information from Italian to English, which let me tell you right now, calls for EPIC LINGUISTIC HEADACHE because my Italian is Le Basic. Still, \o/

In further other news, I am avoiding my parents like the plague. Yays.

Doctor Who "The Pandorica Opens" Review: It's all about the crossover potential! )

But the main thing I want to talk about is the fantastic crossover potentital my crack-out little brain saw in this episode.

1) Doctor Who: Investigating strange happenings at Stonehenge, including and Underhenge and signals sent out to Everyone, Everywhere. There are spoilers ). This is important for SA.

2) Stonehenge Apocalypse: Stonehenge is doing very strange things with energy and people are investigating it (poorly). IT WAS A ROBOT HEAD. Also, Jacob who is Misha Collins.

3) Supernatural: There are seals upon seals locking Lucifer away. There is a Trickster playing games. There is Castiel who is Misha Collins.

See?!? They are one! I mean, the SA and SPN crossover is a given, and the SA and the SA and DW crossover works so well except for the time it's set in, shush, we can work around that!

You know what I hate? Accidentally high-lighting the image of the back cover for Nano and discovering that it's 100000 times more awesome with the colours inverted than in its original form. This after all that PDF binding and uploading and htmling and printing and binding.

I'm trying to save my sanity and not slip into compulsions so I'm not redoing all that stuff. However, I am posting the new back-cover (it's blue and black! this works better with the front and spine! and is legible!). I'm also printing and rebinding it tomorrow. Squee.

...and now I'm having doubts. Whatever, keeping both versions. I always pick the thing I like least anyway, because I'm self-defeating that way. Yays.

The new back cover )

In other news, my internet is being an utter bitch and it's frustrating.

In further and even more other news, I've cleaned out my work space, turned in my hard and CD copies of my thesis, gotten my grade on the official paper and called the lady who's supposed to help me get my whole Master's certificate thing rolling. She's in tomorrow, so we'll see what kind of progress happens on that front.

If you missed the previous post and want to read about movies based on real-life serial rapists and killers in Canada (gaaaaaah!), have at it. It stars Misha Collins, which is the only reason I watched the movie (entirely in 0.0 mode).

I never thought the movie would get under my skin in any way but I've been mentally ranting about it - or rather the crimes behind it - all day. And watch me go on and on about it again! )

Nano: What's the opposite of jumping the shark? Like, so epically bad that it's not just gone downhill but burrowed underneath? That's how I feel the story's gone now. The angel-vision isn't convincing me, and everyone's asleep except Icarus (non-communicative) and Chip (pissed off and tired), so the bit I'm writing now also sucks. Plus, what the hell was my plot? Seriously. Stuff happened, but there was no major thingy, climax or whatever. I suck, yo ):

Nano: 354 words behind. The distance is decreasing, but omg, kill me now.

How to pump-up the word count: instead of saying that clothes were found for Icarus and he then got dressed, say that Chip and Saunders argue, Agatha finds clothes and then Chip proceeds to toss each item one by one. It's given me 700 words. (Don't tell anyone.)

Icarus' shade of eye-colour is somewhat like this butterfly or the Indigo Bunting only more. Or, y'know, whatever outlandish things I can describe them as.

Spent evening with Elisa, first chatting over coffee the watching series. Showed her Supernatural's 4x06 Yellow Fever, which she loved. We also discussed the aesthetics of Jensen Ackles and how, yes, he's quite a sight, but also a very all-American-jock sight, which sort of runs against every fiber of our being. It's like my liking Bones' Booth or Vin Diesel: I'll be sitting there, drooling, wondering what the hell is wrong with my hormones. Totally not my type, and yet...guh.

Then we watched True Blood 1x01-03, and she's hooked, after having laughed at the concept. Cliffhangers are made of evil, but make for addictive viewing, and yes, the opening titles are made of complete and utter rocking-out win. Tara scared her a bit at first, but after her Moment of Awesome, Elisa was won over. Rene got instant love thanks to his arm-twisting feats. Throughout the viewing we put on Generic Southern Accents. She thinks mine rules. \o/

And I'll have to get her to watch Reservoir Dogs, 'cause she didn't even know it existed. This must be rectified asap.

About the rest of my day, morning was spent on the internet and the afternoon was spent being hungry in a supermarket and not finding anything appetizing and thus not buying anything but a can of beans, cereal and broccoli.

It's Saturday. I've cleaned the house, been to the market and had the requisite kibbeling and stroopwaffel lunch, asked questions galore at the knitting store and hung out at the computer lab trying to work and, eventually, working. Until, that is, I got kicked out (they were closing).

So here I am, feeling utterly exhausted and guilty over work and eyeing the laundry like it might just decide to wash itself if I pout hard enough. (No luck so far.) So instead of anything else, I'm going to cuddle under my comforter - btw, I miss my old apartment's couch liek woah - and have lemon flavoured tea, chocolate-covered cookies, and Batman Begins (about 2 weeks behind schedule).

In other news, and before the imminent zoning-out, I was reading The Editing Room's Abridged Screenplay of TDK earlier, and ran head-first against a wall against the funny. Explanation goes here. )

A serious question: should I pimp these picspam-, stick- and twig-analyses out to folk via [livejournal.com profile] ninth_wonders? (And how does that work, anyhow?) I mean, does it not-suck? Would folk like this? 'Cause they took ages to make and maybe folk would like to see this sort of thing.

And because I am obsessed and cannot stop myself, here's an addenum on the Sylar&Spike similarity post: both have a moment of disturbing sexuality with their mother.

I kid you not. )

I also added a few more trenchcoat!screencaps, with gentle mocking, on the previous post.

)Random thought of the day: How the hell did Mohinder know Sylar gave him Zane's DNA***? I mean, he had no Certainly-Zane!DNA to compare it to, or Sylar!DNA for that matter, and definately no sequencing tools, not even the lowly Southern blot. (Unless we go back to the theory that Mohinder snuck into hospitals and labs by pimping himself out to the nurses, but then, when? He was galavanting cross-state with Sylar that whole time!)
