bending_sickle: (Keep me?)
[personal profile] bending_sickle
It's Saturday. I've cleaned the house, been to the market and had the requisite kibbeling and stroopwaffel lunch, asked questions galore at the knitting store and hung out at the computer lab trying to work and, eventually, working. Until, that is, I got kicked out (they were closing).

So here I am, feeling utterly exhausted and guilty over work and eyeing the laundry like it might just decide to wash itself if I pout hard enough. (No luck so far.) So instead of anything else, I'm going to cuddle under my comforter - btw, I miss my old apartment's couch liek woah - and have lemon flavoured tea, chocolate-covered cookies, and Batman Begins (about 2 weeks behind schedule).

In other news, and before the imminent zoning-out, I was reading The Editing Room's Abridged Screenplay of TDK earlier, and ran head-first against a wall against the funny. As you all may've figured out, I'm just now processing Heath Ledger and shaking my fist at the whims of the universe. Last night I'd watched a YouTube guy talking about Heath shortly after his death. I remember being somewhat appalled at how the guy mourned him first for the loss this meant to the industry, and then gave his condolences to the family and friends. (I'd rather Heath be alive, herding sheep and giving the film industry the finger than dead.) But he went on in particular about TDK, echoing what I've heard before, that the Joker was the likeliest candidate to reappear in a sequel (threequel?). And, well, yeah, he had a point, and I gave it to him. But it wasn't until I read the Abridged Screenplay and had a precise example of just what the Heath-shaped void looks like, that I got a tad teary-eyed. (Well, more than a tad.)

BAT-BALE
I had to save you! You need to be in the next movie!

HEATH LEDGER
Yeah... about that...

Reading that one line and all those little elipses bloody hurts.

So, to end on a happier and more hopeful note, here's another quote:
