Underworld: Rise of the Lycans - Icons
001 002 003

Icon Post - 79 Icons

Apart from the above icons (which were a pain, because the whole thing was filmed in blue tones), I've done sweet fuck-all today. Woke up at 1 pm (went to sleep at 4 am), read some fic, walked a tad, cooked for the first time all week and...yeah.

Supernatural, 5x04: Random squee )

Thanks to recent interest (and a jump-starting dream), I've been taking to delving into the True Blood fandom. I've also been checking out interviews (mainly Alex Skarsgard, because he's the Spike of the show, and we all know what that does to me). He's really rather adorable (that UInterview clip I linked to before had me falling in love with his constant eyebrow action). I squeed a bit at this (totally paparazzi, oh gods can't see the man's busy?) interview of Skarsgard, where he's asked about the Twilight vampires. He thinks they're cute and adorable. And so is he :)

There's also the below-embedded interview of Alex Skarsgard, Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer (aka the love-triangle members) where they're all very adorable and Anna gets all my squee for slashing Eric/Bill.

Embedded YouTube Video )

Also, apparently Skarsgard's really whopping famous in Sweden and the son of Sweden's most famous actor (according to my recent article scanning and the like). He's also been in some USA movie and television, such as Generation Kill (which I'd never heard of until now but was apparently a very good mini-series).

Also? Zoolander. I am not kidding. Here's a (rather funny) deleted scene. Earth to whomever it may concern: Alex's in Zoolander )

1) That was totally Persephone's Eavesdown Docks.
2) Doomsday music in Donna scene? Or just that other really sad lone-female-singer one?
3) I think The Help would know English, thanyouverymuch.
4) Donna totally Yattaed after time-and-space travel. ♥

I still can't think of the Italian's and Wilf's salute without breaking out into tears.

(Lostpedia's Entry) [livejournal.com profile] unstoppablei sums the episode up nicely: I rewatched the episode and sat there the whole time muttering, "Michael Emerson, you are absolutely AMAZING."

ETA 2: I made iconses.

In other news, I got out of bed at 1 pm (unfortunatly, not unusual - my body seems to think its somewhere in the Atlantic, time-zone wise), cleaned the apartment (mopping the floor without a mop was interesting), got groceries (foooooooood) and re-watched Voyage of the Damned (where David Tennant is gorgeous - and lanky - in a rumpled tux and, yes, the inevitable Chucks). Gods that happy couple in VotD makes me so frelling happy. That's what I want, right there.

Watching Shaun of the Dead last night, I realized that Shaun's mum, Barbara, was Penelope Wilton. Yes, that's right, Dr Who's Harriet Jones, Prime Minister. The fandoms, they bleed together!

ETA: Whilst comment-chatting with [livejournal.com profile] pythfic, she responded to my doubts as to Noah Bennet's omniscience with, "Also, c'mon. He's Noah fucking Bennet. He has ways of finding this out." To which I innocently replied that it "ought to be on a pin or flag or somethin'." So she says the magic word: icon.

It's her fault. Really, it is.

I've been studying 6 hours straight. I feel awesome - unless I actually stop to think, so that won't be happening. And because there will be no stopping-and-thinking, there will also be no recounting-of-holiday-adventures. Yet.

Also, I'll soon be catching up on the very many episodes of Lost I've missed, so forgive me if in the upcoming posts I'm a bit squeeful. No worried about my jumping ship and joining that fandom. I've tested those waters, and found them untempting. No, not even Sayid/Jack/Sawyer did it. (Still, pretty, yes?)

Around the world thousands of mine fires are burning with varying causes both natural and human. The oldest coal fire in China is in Baijigou and is said to have been burning since the Qing Dynasty. It is estimated that Australia's "Burning Mountain", the oldest known coal fire on the planet, has burned for some 6,000 years. Do something!)

I made icons. Because this is what responsible people do at 1:30 am when they were going to relax with a quick Sylar-centric recap of "Powerless" before going to bed. "Oh, just a few," I said. It is now 3:29 am, and I kinda still want to watch some clips.

Obviously, I need outside restraint.

I've been the most unproductive person ever today. I woke up near noon and only got round to reading (hah! "reading") stats round 8 pm. Not that any of it made sense, but at least some notes have been written. Intelligebly, but written nonetheless.

My burning need to make icons resulting in a single one. That's mainly because it's really hard to find screencaps or photos of Neil Gaiman smiling (though I know there was one he posted on his blog, but now it's hiding from me), or likewise for John Simm. (Though a giddy or OMG!Simm would also work.) Why do I need this? 'Cause I want to make an icon for Neil's description of their meeting (the "ulp Life on Mars erk The Master" vs "glunk The Sandman!" moment), and maybe add a line saying, "Even stars fanboy." or something wittier. Ugh.

H-aaanyway, I made an icon - and banner - of a line that's been etched in my brain ever since I read it on a place-mat in a nifty Polish restaurant in Montreal's Old Port.

The banner(s) )

And now, despite it being 1:30 am 1:45 am, I'm going to watch Life on Mars 2x01. Because my day needs a high-point. (No response on the Stardust movie-going.) And no, I haven't stepped out of the house. Yes, it was a gorgeous day.
