I just...thought I'd point that out? Because I kinda want to do art about it but not now?
Speaking of Medium, I watched the third episode with Mark Sheppard (although really, the first one is a lie, because it has Mark saying two lines and then it's nothing but sitting there staring at the screen, consumed by lust, waiting for his character to show up again and he never does, at least not Mark-shaped). It made me rant at the screen.
So I'm going to rant at the screen again, in typed form. Because GRR ARGH.
Oh, ya think?! And could you be more specific about your "something"? Have you even tried to see if the baby is backwards, or breached, or whatever? No, the woman is just lying there failing to give birth and BLEEDING ALL OVER and you're just "Oops, something's gone awry!"
By which you mean slicing her open. Alive. Awake. And not in the "we can fix this later" way, either. Just, not even try to save the woman.
...an unusual amount? SHE'S HEMORRHAGING! Of course it's unusual! And you're just walking around not doing anything to stop the bleeding! because God forbid you lay hands on a woman's bits! Doctor, you just suggested murdering his wife so he could have the squalling mess of baby. Charles is obviously very much in love with his wife and apparently he's supposed to be all, "NO, THE BABY IS MORE IMPORTANT! More important that this woman I love and have spent a large part of my life with and want to spend the rest of my life with!" And Moira?!? What the fuck?! Not unless your child is The Chosen One is it more important than you trying to not die. You are not a sack of meat! You are not an incubator! How is Charles the only one to realize that just because it's an unborn baby it doesn't mean it gets dibs on living over everyone else?
NEITHER DO YOU! You had thirty hours to notice that that baby wasn't coming out. THIRTY HOURS. And now it's all "Aaah, no time!" Do you even know why the baby's not coming out? Seriously, you call yourself a doctor?!? Why Charles didn't come back and hack you to pieces, I will never understand.
YOU JUST KILLED HIS WIFE! Maybe he's not quite up to the whole "let's rejoice in the reason my wife is dead" thing at the moment. And that baby needs a wet nurse more than it needs a distraught father at the moment.

Day 8 - A character’s parent(s) or guardian
Saunders almost spilt his coffee down his front when he heard a soft knock at his door.
"Excuse me? Exucse me, hello?"
Saunders held his dripping mug over the coffee table but didn't set it down, afraid to make a noise. The knocking came again followed by what he realized now was a child's voice.
"Is anybody home?" More knocking, but softer. "Hello?" The voice was almost a whisper now, and sounded as if it did not expect an answer anymore.
Saunders closed his eyes. His ears rang in the silence of his apartment. A soft shuffling in the hallway brought him to his feet.
Opening the door a crack, Saunders saw the back of a young girl - somewhere in her pre-teens - walking away with a pair of keychains in her hand. Her hair was wild, a mess of curls that had disentangled from each other and wafted around her head like a halo, making her seem even smaller, swimming as she was already in an oversized sweater.
Saunders gripped his Winchester tight, then took a breath.
"Little girl?"
She twirled around instantly and took a few stops towards him, but then stopped short, her hands clasped under her chip. She bit her lip.
"Do you have anyone with you?"
She shook her head.
Memories of the days before flooded Saunders - the weight of his rifle, the growls and screams coming in from the streets and through is locked door. He didn't really have a choice.
He opened his door wide. "Come in," he said.
The girl broke into a run halfway towards him and wrapped her arms around his waist. Saunders patted her hair and closed the door behind them.
