I'm having trouble deciding between a 2yr MSc in Ecology and a 1 yr MSc. Environment and Resource Management program at Vrije. Now would be a great time for an advisor.

It's quite cold today - wel, alright, a whimpy 3 degrees, but last weekend we hit 20, so shut it - and I'm still sick. Which means that I'm freezing. I've got on 4 layers, including a wool turtleneck sweater and my down winter coat, and I'm sitting next to an electric radiator. Am very, very cold.

Sitting in the metro this morning on my way back from the Dutch embassy where I completely failed to ask them questions about applying to university there (through no fault of my own: they're only one 10am-1pm, the bastards), I got to thinking about the Goo Goo Dolls.

More specifically, the line Braodway is dark tonight, and how it was a great summary, particularly for Sand's predicament (and his love for Broadway). Alright, the inspiration was mainly due to this icon by volta1228:



I want to make the line an icon, or a fic, if the inspiration strikes.

Naturally, my train of thought immediately pulled up at the OUaTiM station where bare-foot boys (who may or may not have been selling Chiclet gum) promptly riffled through passengers' luggage.

( Er...think the image might be running away with me at bit... Aw hell, me, my luggage, and my straw hat... Gods help me, it's a story. )

You know, changing screens, I can now actually see my default icon with clarity and am surprised to see it actually has text. Unfortunately, it doesn't say "teh seks" or anything like that. Pft. "Poisoned." Why not something a little more, oh, I don't know, destructive, maybe? Maul may be poisoned, but he sure as hell beats the pants off of any of the other Sith's we've seen on-screen.* Compare him with, for example, Count Dooku (i.e. Saruman). Dooku a) has a pathetic name, both real and sithly ("Tyrannous"), b) is an old man and c) a seriously unimpressive death-scene.** Despite getting more on-screen time, Dooku didn't use it as well. Less "oozing evil and martial arts abilities" and more "old man speechifying".

Alright, I'll stop now.
