Okay, so I somewhat loathe the terms Latino and Hispanic. I really, really hate it when organizations label North America and Latin America because those are not the continents and those labels belong to two different sets, geographical and whateverthefuckical. North America includes Mexico. I don't care how you slice it, Mexico is in North fucking America. "Latin America" includes portions of North America and South American (which includes Central America - I don't know where the Carribbean fits). I say portions because I doubt nationals of French Guayan would be considered Latinos by some, for example, since apparently Latino means "From a Spanish-speaking heritage" (which, where does that leave Brazil?).

And you know what's making me rage right now? This "fill in your ethnicity" questionaire:

American Indian or Alaskan Native: (Not Hispanic or Latino) A person having origins in any of the original peoples of North and South America (including Central America), and who maintains tribal affiliation or community attachment.

Asian: (Not Hispanic or Latino) A person having origins in any of the original peoples of the Far East, Southeast Asia, or the Indian subcontinent including, for example, Cambodia, China, India, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Pakistan, the Philippine Islands, Thailand, and Vietnam.

Black or African American: (Not Hispanic or Latino) A person having origins in any of the black racial groups of Africa.

Hispanic or Latino: A person of Cuban, Mexican, Puerto Rican, South or Central American, or other Spanish culture or origin, regardless of race

Native Hawaiian or Other Pacific Islander: (Not Hispanic or Latino) A person having origins in any of the original peoples of Hawaii, Guam, Samoa, or other Pacific Islands.

White: (Not Hispanic or Latino) A person having origins in any of the original peoples of Europe, the Middle East, or North Africa.

Two or More Races: (Not Hispanic or Latino) All persons who identify with more than one of the above five races.

So Spaniards aren't white? They're not "of the original peoples of Europe"? But Potuguese and Italians are white, not Latinos? What's the difference between them and Spaniards? And Brazilians aren't Latinos? Despite being South American? Because they're of Portuguese and not Spanish origin? And what about all the German decendents in Argentina, what are they? And what the fuck does that mean, "regardless of race" when the damn thing is titled "Ehticity/Race"? And why are all the other enthicities labelled "(Not Hispanic or Latino)" as if they had to stress that it trumps all other identities and is mutually exclsuive with anything else you may be, as evidenced by the "Two or more races" exculsion of Latinos part in particular? Why don't you lump all anglophones of of the USA, Canada, UK and Australia into their own separate little ethnic group? It's the same situation, but no, no one thinks of putting that group in the parenthetical corner.

Fuck you, labelists. FUCK YOU.

Since we're on the "Latino" ball, Consuelo's pathetic excuse for Spanish in Fallen Idols. "Me voy a la casa en el Salvador ahora." That pisses me off. You know what else pisses me off about that? The woman can speak English, probably knows that the cop in front of her doesn't have the first idea of what she's saying because they're in fucking Ohio, and still she's rambling on in Spanish despite not being hysterical to the point of not being able to control her language choice and probably not talking Spanish all that often, what with working for an Anglophone in fucking Ohio.

Oh, and Sam and Dean going their own ways in Season 5 pissed me off. Especially in The End where neither of them talks to the other and they're all, "Fine, alright, we're not fixing this."
