Chances are I'll finish Nanowrimo this weekend \o/ And I know what scene I'm going to finish it with! (Even though I don't quite know how I'm going to end it.) Basically, there's just some Comfort to balance out all the Hurt and a little dream sequence of a Happy Ending, because they sure as hell ain't getting it in real life. Fictional life. Whatev'.

In other news, there's been no Castle, Grey's Anatomy or, I'm assuming, Supernatural to squee over this week. Damned Thanksgiving Week hiatus!

Also, I was listening to the audio of Misha's panel at the Asylum Convention, and for the first ten minutes I had to fight my brain. It kept telling me I was listening to Patrick Dempsey (i.e McDreamy) instead of Misha (i.e. McSnarky or just plain McAwesome). This was very distracting and strange and it doesn't help that I still think they do sound alike.

This has left me with the strange desire to rewatch Blonde, "the perv edition" (i.e. the heavily edited-down version with only the This Is relevant to My Interests clips left in), with Patrick Dempsey and Jensen Ackles as Marylin Monroe's simultaneous (douchebag) lovers. You can see why fans would want the perv edition ;)

Meme - Let's Talk About Stories (aka. ask me stuff!) via lienne

I think it would be fun to talk about stories, but the usual memes are like, "What happens next?" "Tell me about Character A?" Which isn't so much talking about stories as it is writing more of a story. But you know how sometimes you read something and you're like, "I got ___ out of this story, I wonder if I have that right?" or "What on earth was ____ supposed to be?" and it's too awkward to ask the author? Now you could totally ask!

I've heard people say that writing is hard because you have to make decisions, but we never really talk about the decisions we make with stories or why we make them. We talk about plot bunnies, but not about how we actually turn them into a story.

And it seems like a lot more fun to do that than to do work.

So, if you want, ask me questions! (Or use this to ask your flist to ask you questions).

What were you trying to do [here]? Why did you decide to ____? This is what I thought about XYZ, is that what you were going for? What made you write ____? Why did you decide to do this? And so on.

40 Days of Supernatural Meme: Day 39 - If you were a director who you would like to direct (Jared or Jensen) and what kind of movie?

I kind of feel horrible about this, but I'd pick Jensen. While I could say it's because he floors me with his acting much more than Jared does, the reason that keeps popping up is far more ridiculous. You see, Jared is known for his pranks and crazy antics. I know he can be perfectly professional when need be and get the job done and work the long hours, but I would not be able to handle that kind of personality while working (and probably freaking out and with a deadline looming over me). I'd love if I were working in any other position, but I think as a director, I'd just snap.

So basically that's a reason why I wouldn't want to direct Jared, rather than why I would want to direct Jensen. But really, come on,what can I say about Jensen? Acting chop? Check. Good working ethic? Check. A nice person? Check.

As for what kind of movie, I don't know. I think I wouldn't care the genre as long as the writing was good and the characters were well fleshed out.

Although I kinda want something with horses. 'Cause I'd enjoy it and Jensen would probably have a ball and come on, horses.

It was lying palm-up, fingers curling in the air as if still holding Chip's hand.

You're right, your Nano isn't made of good parts – it's made of bloody brilliant ones! Ha! ;D However, you have to understand that all I'm currently living for is the expectation of some good and proper Icarus/Chip fluff (however scarce it may be), which means that I won't read even a single line before I have the pdf all printed out and in my hands and can flail over it in the manner it DESERVES! *is jittery* Dear God, I'm starting to feel like I'm some kind of animal waiting for its PREY, lurking in the bushes, watching. I HOPE YOU'RE HAPPY NOW, ADRI. I REALLY HOPE YOU ARE. (♥ ad infinitum!)

The sibling is back home and seems to be improving, but he always starts off being fine and then ends up back at the hospital. I don't know, love. Let's say I'm tentatively hopeful all will work out this time. :|
