Whilst googling for correct phrases for Translation Internship, I came across If Nature Had Rights: What would people need to give up? and a quick skim made me go all, "Grr, argh!"

I mean, it'd go so far we couldn't get lettuce without impinging on its rights to live.

I agree, Dean would probably be driven absolutely batshit by Jack, whereas Sam would just stand by like the evil demon-spawn that he is and laugh and laugh and laugh. :D

This may sound random and I'm not sure I could back it up with actual data (with the exception of Dr. Sexy, perhaps, but I'm not sure if to count him or not) but Sam always seemed much more secure in his sexuality/identity than Dean. Yes/no/I read too much fanfiction? :S

Oh totally. Sam's a rock in his sexuality, whereas Dean's totally doing like the cat and checking out the other side of his sexuality from afar.



There's not just Dr. Sexy, but also the shape-shifting siren (although you could argue that what Dean wanted more really was a brother, but you could also twist it around), and I think there may have been some other bits. My brain is teh ded right now.

Or not? Although, to me, the Cas/Dean scenes always felt strangely fabricated to me, part sucking-up, part opportunism on Kripke's (the writers') side, because we know they're creeping about fandom somewhere, reading our posts. :D I may be wrong though!

*I've grown to really, really love Merlin, by the way. It's my "happy fandom" from now on. :)

Out-of-the-blue and/or late comment is blueish and gasping for breath.

Can't think of any bicurious scenes with Cas (except for the bit of, "last time someone looked at me like that, I got laid") but Dean's definitely pushing the bicurious envelope in Yellow Fever where he's drunk and totally flirting with the sheriff's assistant. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ceK5qI4Obbw) Look at that shy little pants rub and head down moment and tell me he's not flirting!

I think the reason I'm not coming up with bicurious Dean moments involving Cas is that I see them in the happily established couple, what with the tie-fixing and the casual snark. There's probably loads and I just need to rewatch episodes.

I'm not sure why, but I never really took to Dean/Cas although they're definitely shippable, and the foundations, as you said, are there. :| What I do get from Dean, however, is a strong and very persistent "O hai BE MAH FREN" vibe (mingled with I HATE MYSELF AND AM ONLY A BIT TERRIFIED OF YOU REJECTING ME). However, if we're going with Señora, then Usted is probably called for (although the usage of the honorific is all fluid today and people use strange, strange mises of formal and informal).
**** Entretanto = meanwhile, which implies it's separate, whereas you want to express cause/effect, which is, e.g. por lo tanto (hence, therefore) or a cause de esto or similar.
