We're shapeshifters.*

Due to frodolyn's glee, I've been checking out Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles (Official Site), which is the new show Summer Glau co-stars in, along with Heroes's Zach** (Thomas Dekker), with main-star Lena Headey. I wasn't one much for Terminator - in fact, I hardly remember it, except for the creapy cop, whose face I will remember with accompanying "Eeeek!" till my dying day - and the pilot kind of left me hanging a bit, trying to catch up on the background mythology. However, it's actually quite watchable - I'm on episode 3 now, waiting on 4 - and interesting. Ex-Zach's lovely, and Summer's eerie, like a really spaced out River.

It also has some lovely Mohinderesque narrative voice-over. What does this mean? This means I've jotted some bits down and will now share.

I also edited together the Sylar scenes of Zane and Mo's little trip, but Moviemaker crashed on me. I haven't checked whether it's nice and saved an emergency backup copy.

Today we lived a thousand years.*

Today started off with a couple of hours of apathy in which all I've been able to do is the daily rounds of the internet, put a bunch of unopened magazines on the trash pile and did a precursory and intimidating read of my supervisor's comments on my outline. Now it's 1:30 and I'm 4:30 hours behind.

I'm upset. And I mean that will all the British understatementness possible. I don't know why, either. Just, gah. I'd flail, but I can't be bothered.

( I worry about things. )

I'm failing to see the point of anything.


ETA: The immediate plan in horrifying detail:

1) Lunch. Meaning, I'm going to have to go to the kitchen. Salad is a go. Oranges, also a go. There's enough rice to feed a satiated hamster, but not enough for a meal, so maybe that won't work. I must have something edible.

2) ...I can't plan that far ahead.

The government wrote back. We all now have until mid June to find alternative housing.

The bastards.

Fucking late is what that is. That's when I'd been innitially planning on moving out in the first place! And now, after a shitload of anguish and panic and searching and woe upon bleedin' woe, I have a place.

I ain't lettin' it go, that's for sure.

But still. The bastards. The irony. Where was this good luck when I needed it?!
