lienne: It's that five questions thing again. Shout the name of a fruit at me—seriously: "Leave a comment saying "ORANGES" (or any other fruit of your choice)"—I'll ask you five questions, you post your answers, other people shout fruits at you, the cycle continues.
1. the hell is a kumquat anyway - A kumquat is a hilarious word which is exceedingly fun to say. Oh, and a fruit, as per the meme's specs. I think I've had some before. Really, I just confused it with the satsuma, which isn't really as exotic as the name seems to imply, being somewhat of glorified mandarin (or, more amusingly, a "citrus mutant" according to Wiki) because I wanted to be all witty and amusing and sly by referencing the fruit the Tenth Doctor had in his pocket in his first episode, which was the first time I'd heard of that fruit and was sorely disappointed to see it wasn't anything special.
2. what do you think of this journal It's a very nice!
3. has anyone ever sent you a dirty postcard Unfortunately, no. Or maybe fortunately, because I don't want my parents to get the mail and end up with 0.0 eyes.
4. I don't mean like it had naughty words written on it or was smudged with grime, I mean like the picture on the postcard was pornographic. yes I just looked over at my stack of old mail to come up with that question Nope, not in any of those senses. I guess the closest I ever came was whenchaosvizier didn't send me the Kenyan postcard of massive zebra schlong. (Scroll down.) Oh, what could have been.
5. I'm going to give up now Which means that I can both complete the meme and give up in a wonderfully paradoxical state of affairs! :D

Date: 2010-07-20 12:30 am (UTC)1) OMG MEDIEVAL CLOTHING. The long tunics, rich wools and silks, the amazing headdresses... it's all so great. So I would jump at the medieval stuff, and anything from Tudor England. (Note- I would have to try on the men's clothes from Henry VIII's era- that shit's awesome. Also, I love codpieces.)
I can't imagine not ever wearing something from a historical period. They're all so great.
2) My most irrational fear is probably the one where I don't like my feet hanging off the bed uncovered because, um, the devil might snatch me down to hell. (I KNOW. SO IRRATIONAL.) So my best cover up is when I say that I can't sleep with cold feet, so they need to be at least under a sheet! (Happily, I think I've mostly gotten over this one- the last year or two have seen great improvement.)
3) So many things! I hated tomatoes until I was about 22, and olives until I was 25. Now I love both.
4) Hmmm. Good one. First book would have to be Harry Potter. Even though I've been surprisingly finished with that fandom ever since I closed book 7, I have such long-term and long-standing affection for it that I would still lovelovelove to go to Hogwarts.
5) Olympic walking. That sport is HILARIOUS to watch. I absolutely cannot take it seriously.
