bending_sickle*waves* Still alive and all that. Haven't even tried looking for a job this week, but then I've been attacked by the Dodos of Depression or whatever the hell they are, so I've been pretty much incapable of doing anything much less anything productive. But next week's a new week and all that. Mom's gone to visit my brother for ten days so it's just dad and me, and surprisingly I get along better with him when mom's not around.
In other news, there are strange people in the city. Mainly creepy annoying men.
Case One:
Sickle: *walking at a brisk pace with headphones on* *slows down to cross street*
Man: *help-me talk-to-me gestures*
Sickle: ?
Man: Do you speak English?
Sickle: *nod shrug*
Man: Your shoes, too flat. Not good for walking.
Sickle: ...? o.0 *gtfo gestures and walks off* *good mood evaporates and the dodos attack*
What the fuck? If you want to chat up a girl, don't pick one walking determinedly with earphones in. And certainly don't criticize her, and that includes her shoes. In fact, how about we just don't stop people in the street to criticize them, okay? And if you just want to be orthopedically helpful well shut the fuck up because it's none of your business. And excuuuuse me if I wasn't galavanting around in high heels just for you.
Case Two:
Sickle: *walking at a brisk pace with headphones on*
Man by parked motorcycle: Could you tell me the time?
Sickle: *says time and shows watch for extra clarification*
Man: *doesn't listen or glance at watch* *reiterates question*
Sickle: *repeat time in Italian and gestures at fucking watch*
Man: Oh! You speak Italian! Where are you from?
Sickle: ...Spain.
Man: Oh wow! *leans against motorcycle* I have an uncle who's in Spain. *proceeds to jump into some tale*
Sickle: *does not need this shit* *smiles and gestures congrats-on-you-knowing-the-time and walks off*
Seriously people, what is it about someone who's showing all signs of "I'm walking and not going to stop for hell or high water and I don't want to talk to folks" that just screams "Please flirt with meeeeee". Ugh.
In other other news, I've listened to all of Cabin Pressure and it is glorious. Also squeeful over Game of Thrones Season 2 coming next month. Aaaand yep.
