Meme: 30-Day Original Story Development Challenge, via Tacoface

Here is a 30 day original story development challenge. It can be filled by prose or illustration or comic or even just script, whatever works for you and how you’ll be displaying the setting. Feel free to reveal as much or as little as you want.

Day 1 - A main protagonist, their bio. - Life is made up of a Before and an After. Or at least that's how it is in stories.

In reality, things are not that simple. There's not just one Before, one after, one single defining moment when the stone is thrown into the water and after that it's nothing but ripples. Instead, there are many moments, little bends in the road, sharp twists and even sharper turns. Although numerous, these moments of change are not, of course, all equal in size.

Like everyone else, Chip had small Befores and Afters. Before he lost a tooth at age seven with his legs hanging in the air high up in the ferris wheel. After he punched Ryan in the stomach for all the times he didn't.

There were bigger ones. After he got his first job selling soft ice cream at the mall. Before he decided to go to college. After he kissed Jake.

Then there were the really big ones, those deserving the capital letters. After Mom died. Before he told his father. After he met Steve.

Then there were the Befores and Afters that split his life into pieces. Before the world ended. After Steve died. Before the angel.

Day 5 - The place a character sleeps.

I've kinda rewatched some parts of it yesterday and oh my god, it's even gayer the second time around! (It always is.) The little glances and smiles! THE SLASH GOGGLES AMPLIFY THE AWESOME GAYNESS SO I CAN SEE IT FROM THE MOON.

I'm one hour in and am hopelessly lusting after Eric (ngh). I'm very tired of Emma Frost's cleavage being in my face, and her bondage-torture-interrogation scene made me go "o.0 really?" Wee Charles is the most adorably English little thing ever ("Don't touch the hair!" I see what you did there) and I just accidentally shipped Darwin with explodey-hula-hoop guy (there was an unecessarily intmiate little hand-to-chest moment). I'm a bit disappointed with Hank, but then he's not wonderfully talkative and humerous and BLUE like I love him yet. And oh hai Raven/Hank! But there are not enough Eric&Charles scenes! I just want them to sit and talk! But there is so much delicious angst going on with Eric that I'm very pleased. And there will be more!

I'm very tired of Emma Frost's cleavage being in my face, and her bondage-torture-interrogation scene made me go "o.0 really?" - Yup, my thoughts exactly. I wanted so much for Emma to be an awesome independent mutant lady and just tell Shaw to shove it or something, do her own thing, but alas! Wouldn't want to send the wrong message, right? Independent women pffftt. But wait for even more sexism, also of the uber ironic variety.

Aaaand I know you must've watched this scene and I just gotta say, am I reading too much into that? BECAUSE I FIND THE MISOGYNY OF IT RATHER DISCONCERTING. Couldn't they have taken a bit more neutral looking mannequins, instead of mannequins with such emphasized feminine features? I, ugh.

I SAW THAT HAND-TO-CHEST MOMENT but managed to reign myself in. THEY WERE JUST BEING FRIENDLY, YES, THERE IS NO SLASH WHATSOEVER TO BE HAD, NO NO. But they killed Darwin off, anyway; surprise, surprise!

I liked Hank quite a lot! And I was very surprised to discover he was played by the very same beautiful boy from A Single Man, Nicholas Hoult. Regardless, I think you will get your money's worth with your love for blue!Hank. ;P

Also, I'm not sure if you've noticed or anything, but the scene where they're just louuunging around on the stairs, playing chess and there's this shot of the Washington Monument between their heads/shoulders?

Azazel is actually Kurt Wagner's father! AND THE MOTHER? Raven. - Asdlksjldfkjsldkf! I think I knew Raven was Kurt's mom, but alkjdlskdjfs Azazel being the father. (I kinda loved Kurt in X Men 2. Alex was falling and Sean caught him and they were flying and it was glorious and my slash-o-meter went through the roof. But then it stopped. Hell, there's more fodder to ship Alex/Hank.

I WANT ANGSTY FICS OF ERIC AND CHARLES. And possible Raven and Charles, especially when they were growing up because HOW THE HELL DID CHARLES JUST ADOPT HER? DID HE NOT HAVE PARENTS? We know he had a mother who never gave him chocolate milk! (Oh, the angst over chocolate milk...)

SO I'VE FINISHED and Eric running to Charles' now-paralyzed side and being all "fuck that war I was trying to start my bb is hurt", and then Charles' "I can't feel my legs" - I just, alskdjlaskjd and ;_; forever.
