I continue to be behind in everything in my life, although I have an excuse for today, because today mom and I went windowshopping, although the intention was to go to the Goethe so I could sign up for a course but the secretary was closed and we didn't so much "go windowshopping" as "go into shops and fail to find anything that wasn't hideous", which is why we got home late and watched Castle (2x01) and then I tried to catch up on the flist and by then I just was too tired to do anything at all and anyway it was too late in the night so here I am.

Also, run on sentences.

I hope to have photos to post tomorrow (they're uploading!) but for now, Imma gonna go and watch The Daily Show's last Thursday episode. For greater justice.

Quote of the Day: [livejournal.com profile] greygirlbeast (Caitlin R. Kiernan), here
I'm on manuscript page 162. But, even as I begin this seemingly marvelous progress, the insecurity mounts. The fear that I'm not even half smart enough to write this book, and that there's no audience who wants to read a novel of this sort. I have begun heavily second guessing the reader.

Fuck the so-called wisdom of writing workshops, of instructors, and fuck all that shit about reader/writer contracts. This sort of anxiety is poisonous to good fiction. One does not write for an audience, unless one only wishes to pander. One writes. The worth of a novel is not determined by the opinions of those who read it, collected and averaged to yield an objective rating that may be expressed in stars given and stars withehld. It's all a lonely mess. The book's "worth" lies in the mind of the author, and in the mind of each reader. Each is alone with the book, and everyone who reads it is subject to their own unique experience. Nothing is generally true. That said, I sit and try to just let Imp speak and tell her story, but I begin to hear the complaints to come. The shitty Amazon and blog "reviews" it may receive in 2012. These things shouldn't occur to me, and certainly they shouldn't give me a moment's pause, but they do. "It takes forever before anything actually happens." "It's slow." "It rambles." And so on and on and on and so forth.

YES. I AM THAT PANDA. MY FEELINGS EXACTLY. Frustrated song is frustrated. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZpUYjpKg9KY&ob=av2el) Today has been not so good for no discernible reason except that shit is not getting done and I have a mother and no discernible job skills and THIS YEAR WILL NOT BE A REPEAT OF LAST YEAR SO HELP ME CHUCK.

...erm. LET'S GO CRAZY TOGETHER!

Also, I think I found you on Facebook and poked you. Not that I ever actually use Facebook, but hey, it was a whim to see if you were on. I don't know where I'm going with that, except that I've been half-dressed in my pijamas for like 20 minutes now and I'm still peeved for no reason and the phrase EVERYTHING SUCKS OMG is running through my head so obviously random friending on FB is the natural course of action.

Dude, darling, I'm here to enable the crazy so that you can make it through the exam season. IT WILL BE DONE, never fear. *squishes her squishy*

Okay, yeah, going a bit crazy this evening. Imma crawl into bed and watch TV show with nice explosions now.

OKAY, LOVE, WHAT THE HELL? .__________. I DID THE EXACT SAME THING TODAY WHAT WITH TRYING TO LOOK YOU UP ON FACEBOOK. IDEK IT WAS JUST THIS RANDOM THOUGHT AND I HAVEN'T USED MY FB EVEN ONCE, MY FATHER MADE ME GET THE ACCOUNT SO HE COULD PLAY BIZARRE ONLINE GAMES. CLEARLY, WE SHARE A UNIQUE PSYCHIC BOND.

Sorry your day has been a right pain in the ass and that 2011 doesn't behave as it should! I'm glad we can feel sucky and emo together, tough, THOUGH I DO NOT EVER WANT YOU TO FEEL SUCKY AND EMO BECAUSE YOU DESERVE BUT EPICNESS. *squishes back* In fact,

This is me, right there. (NO KIDDING THIS IS WHAT MY FACE LOOKS LIKE WHEN INTERACTING WITH YOU.)

NICE EXPLOSIONS ARE ALWAYS NICE. I AM PREPARED TO SPEND ACTUAL MONIES TO GO TO THE MOVIES TO SEE EXPLOSIONS IN HIGH DEFINITION BECAUSE WHO EVEN NEEDS PLOT IF THERE IS SHIT BLOWING UP (AND PORN).

Sweet dreams, darling heart! ♥ also why can't The Blind Banker load faster dammit

OURS IS A PROFOUND BOND (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y4oki1EDhy8). THAT IS ALL. ♥

I don't want either of us to feel sucky and emo, but hey! We've got each other! We can take turns holding each other's hands through life. (I may have written this exact thing to you already - my memory, it is a goldfish - but I just love the idea anyway so there, Imma write it to you again and there's nothing you can do about it!)

Tomorrow. Things will be better tomorrow, and we'll slowly inch our way through the to-do list of 2011. *huggles the emo outta you*

My current Go-To TV for explosions is Human Target (trailer (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UB10oLE7sKM)) which took me a while to like because it's so ridiculous and over=the-top and doesn't take itself seriously. Then I grew to love the characters and embrace the extravagance. Then Fox was its usual bastard self (see also: Firefly) and let the ball drop on the show so it got no promotion and no schedule you could count on, then it completely revamped the show for Season 2 and it took them until Episode 7 for me to recognize My Show amidst all the crap they put on it. Tonight, it was My Show again, and while there were no explosions, there was Rorschach's actor kicking major ass.

*giggles* WE DO, WE TOTALLY DO. ♥ *clings to your hand for all eternity* YOU'RE NEVER GETTING RID OF ME NOW, SICKLE :D NEVER.

Today was better indeed AND NOW IT IS THE WEEKEND WHICH IS A BONUS. Although I am currently watching the last episode of Sherlock and feeling all wistful and emo because there's nothing to obsess over after that. :(

Ahahha, Human Target looks absolutely ridiculous! Which, you know, I mean as a good thing. ;) And I hate when shows do the whole disappearing act! *glares at Merlin* But I looked up Sherlock earlier and apparently, it's coming back in autumn, so I'm hoping! But... autumn, ugh, Jesus. :|

I think I'll be rewatching The Soloist later on to compensate for the general lack of awesomeness. :( BUT I DO LOVE THAT MOVIE IT HAS ALL MY FAVOURITE THINGS, MUSIC, FRIENDSHIP AND RDJ. ♥

How was your day, darling?

Date: 2011-01-14 03:20 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] bending-sickle.livejournal.com
Yeah, Sherlock is so, so far away. Tell me again, why do I keep on falling for shows with really weird schedules, like Doctor Who and True Blood which only play in the summer and thus make me wait for ages and ages for them? Woe.

The Soloist! I've always wanted to watch that movie! Why have I not watched that movie?!? ...I'll put it on The List. Oogle at RDJ for me, 'kay? AND HAPPY (FINALLY) WEEKEND!

My day so far invovled a) freezing at the office, b) hitting the point in the project where I can't really go forward unless Stuff That's Not Happening Happens, and c) surprise Mother outside office.

This last involved much discussion of whether either of us was hungry enough for a snack (she was undecided) and then where we could get a snack (my suggestions were unacceptable) before we went on a short (length and direction unknown) walk before going home for lunch. I got frustrated at the insanity of it all and the lack of communication with my mother (I thought it was stupid to wander around not knowing if you want to eat something but looking for something to eat regardless and then rejecting the options, which only resulted in The Walk not getting started and us walking around in circles and I can't even express it in words, but nothing we were doing made sense and it was frustrating).

I am now self-medicating with more explosions and chocolate. Apparently they're thinking of canceling Human Target which, well, everyone saw coming, but it just got good again, damnit. *does the angry panda*

* I forgot to give you the end of the Mother Story, which resulted in us parting ways in a huff and going home by ourselves, which was even more ridiculous and stupid and pointless. And now, the silent treatment! Counter-acted by the TV treatment!

Tell me again, why do I keep on falling for shows with really weird schedules [...]

You tell me, because I got nothing! *stares at Sherlock dejectedly* I literally yelled you've gotta be kidding me (in English, ahaha) at the computer at the end of the third episode because WHY SO EVIL, CLIFFHANGER :'D But anyway, I really loved the friendship-maybe-maybe-a-bit-more between Sherlock and John. I mean, not like that's a big surprise to you or anything, but they are just so adorable that I CAN'T EVEN. Aaand John reminded me a great deal of the Russian series Watson (1979) complete with the godawful sweater and all. *grins* All in all, I think I like this 2010-version John best, though. (Except for maybe Wilson, though he doesn't really count. Although it did make me think back to the old times, when House was still interesting and fun, ff. ) It's amazing how different the feel of the characters is in comparison to the RDJ-Jude Law OH MY GOD SO MUCH UST rendition, and I LOVE THEM ALL TO PIECES. ♥

The Soloist is wondefullll and you should definitely put it on your fabulous list! (Though I haven't watched it now after all, after Sherlock nothing can ever be good again. At least for a day or two. *grins*)

I'm sorry your day sucked (again)! I continue to be confuddled by absolutely everything your mother does. :/ *offers you huggles and kisses and love* Wish I could be there with you now, darling. :(

OMG forget the godawful 1979's sweater: THAT MOUSTACHE! Hahaha!

I love how Sherlock-Watson quietly puts up with so much crazy from Sherlock, and only like, rolls his eyes at the head in the fridge. They're so cute together. My favorite bit about the show? The on-screen text. It's brilliant and awesome and I loved it to tiny little bits. The scene where Sherlock's going through his mental map of London to catch the taxi was ♥

My day has vastly improved due to Human Target's latest episode being made of OMG WIN. Seriously. The psychopathic hitman on the team ended up in jail, so there was a lot of fighting and chin-up (why hell-o there!) and they finally addressed Season 1's hint at the character's back story (squeeeeee) and there was boy-bonding. I am a happy, happy little panda. Penguin. Something.

*smiiiiiiiishes you a lot*

Date: 2011-01-15 03:52 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] seschat.livejournal.com
Yeah, that moustache brings all the girls to the yard. ;p

Oh god, yes, the on-screen taxi was brilliant! And Sherlock's obession with texting, aahaha! It made me fall in love with the series just so much more. ♥ (It actually reminded me a bit of Zombieland, I think they did that thing with the text as well. Anyway, awesomeness!) However, I think what I loved the most was the Moriarty-Sherlock face-off at the end and the little panicked glances Sherlock kept throwing John's way as if to say are you okay. And then that cliffhanger! *fistshake*

I'm glad your day was improved by Human Target being a gooood show. And boy-bonding! You know I always approve of that! :D

*loves you forever*

Date: 2011-01-15 04:22 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] bending-sickle.livejournal.com
Sherlock/John was practically CANON in that face-off scene, I swear! How many more months until that cliffhanger gets resolved? *chews fingernails*

Boy bonding is especially awesome when they're rugged hitmen who're turning away from a life of crime and have a ~*history*~ together. :D

*loves you forever too*

Um, like, ten? TEN MORE MONTHS, OH GOD. *dies* I AM MISSING WATCHING SHERLOCK AND JOHN BE AWESOME SO MUCH RIGHT NOW. :( House, sadly, doesn't even compare* and SICKLE I THINK I'LL BE BLAMING YOU FOR THIS SITUATION. I WOULDN'T HAVE REMEMBERED I WANTED TO WATCH SHERLOCK IF NOT FOR YOU. XD

* Well, at least Wilson and his ex-wife broke up. IT WAS A BRILLIANT. (Ahem. *grins sheepishly*)

Date: 2011-01-15 08:43 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] bending-sickle.livejournal.com
Hey, don't hate me if I'm an awesome television-show pimp ;)

Well, at least Wilson and his ex-wife broke up. - I don't even watch the show and I saw that coming because this is Wilson we're talking about, who can't hold onto a girl even if he were super-glued to her. But the more important question is, "Is House/Cuddy still happening?"

Date: 2011-01-15 09:22 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] seschat.livejournal.com
Yeah, I mean, I spoiled myself thoroughly for this season in beforehand, but the breakup didn't come as a surprise one way or another, especially because they made her unbelievably unlikeable and flat, so it was obvious from the start she wouldn't stay. The reason she came into the show at all was just so House moved out with Wilson and get together with Cuddy and so on and so forth. House/Cuddy is indeed still happening, but their storyline is so boring, I don't even know. :| On the other hand, House has got himself a new intern, who's genius level smart med student and has, like, two additional PhDs in art history and maths, and wears hipster clothes (and I'm quoting House here), so things aren't quite as dull now. Also, Chase is being a man-whore all the time, which is amusing. :D

And now I realize you probably didn't want to know that all, but weeeell. IT'S YOUR FAULT I HAVE NOTHING TO DO AND WILL BE SAD FOR ALL ETERNITY, SO DON'T EVEN TRY TO COMPLAIN.

Date: 2011-01-15 09:28 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] bending-sickle.livejournal.com
No, no, dude, I did want to know the latest news on House. Just because I don't watch it now - because I'm so incredibly behind I'd need to go through like the entire series - doesn't mean I don't care. One day, I will watch the full House story, and you'll know when, because I'll probably come whining to you about the end of the OTP that is House/Wilson. I mean, I like Cuddy, but a large chunch of why I like her is because she never put up with House's crap. And damnit, Wilson, you're too good and adorable to be a man-whore. *pouts at him*

...have you watched True Blood yet? That'll get you out of the Sherlock funk. Especially the first season, which is all about the hot naked guys and the Cliffhaners of Doom (seriously, this is not a show to watch in real time). *piiiimps*

Date: 2011-01-15 09:56 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] seschat.livejournal.com
No, no, it's Chase who's being a man-whore at the moment. Though Wilson definitely has had his moments, but yeah. ;p

End of the OTP? Bite your tongue! Never! >:D HOUSE/CUDDY SHALL NOT PASS. Don't get me wrong, I like Cuddy as well, but, as said, the whole storyline seems just so halfhearted and listless to me, I can't find it in me to enjoy it one bit – ack, I don't know. *throws hands in the air* And I refuse the notion that this antipathy is just because nothing but House/Wilson can exist in my brain.

Anyway, I'll totally be looking forward to your squee/woe over anything House related. Most of the time, it has been a piece of damn good television (especially season six), so I shall stop my complaining. :D

... are you trying to sell True Blood to me by means of hot naked guys? I am shocked and appalled to learn you think so lowly of me! :D

Date: 2011-01-15 10:18 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] bending-sickle.livejournal.com
Oops! Wow, I feel like I should apologize to Wilson for so easily accepting the idea that he could be a man-whore but, well, it's his own fault. So Chase is the man-whore, eh? Last I heard of him, he kept sleeping with the brunette who used to be on House's team even though - how'd it go? - he loved her and she was just using him? Eh, I'm just glad he's getting screen time again.

I have no idea when I'll get around to House marathons, but you're not going anywhere, right? ♥ I'll be sure to squee and rant about it all to you when I do.

As for True Blood, I come bearing: Trailer for Season 1 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JHYdJDzNF_E), the awesome Eric and Pam team (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HLrIKpYeivM), the zexy dumb jock Jason you can't help but love (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OvJnE8UaoEw), Lafayette being AWESOME - if you only watch one thing, watch this (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Ff_6VsRuas) - and his cousin, Tara, likewise being awesome (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZMOypXPrl_Y).

How's that for pimping?
