First off, Livejournal is being a cold unresponsive little bitch today. Is it me, baby? We used to be so good together. Why aren't you loading your pages like you used to?

Secondly, my neighbour is playing really loud techno. Thankfully, it's not the same song over and over again (which he's done). Unfortunately, it's been going on for some two hours now and is really annoying. My roommate and I have this theory - based on totally judging people by their appearance and small bits of behaviour as espied from the balcony** - that he likes to celebrate the purchase of certain non-medicinal drugs by trancing out to techno, so we basically only get the noise when he's gotten lucky and has money. Omg plz be shutting up now.

Thirdly, the one thing that I'd been meaning to post about for days, I forget to post about when next I post. The fail, it burns. The thing I meant to blog about? The Jus In Bello Convention.

Please consider the following:

1) It was a Supernatural convention
2) It was in Rome.
3) It was from the 2nd to the 4th of April

1) I am a Supernatural fan
2) I was in Rome.

What do you get?

Nothing.

Why? Because I didn't attend. The Con. For Show. In Rome. When I was there. This upsets me. Photos of Jensen at the Colliseo? Fuck me! I could've walked to the bloody Colliseo! Misha went to Ostia Antica? We bloody well went there! (Well, no, but we went next door, basically, because we'd arrived too late to really make a day of Ostia Antica.) Fuck! I just never did the math well enough to realize that it would have been possible - same place, same time - because those things' tickets are supposedly bloody expensive and need to be bought well in advance. Nevermind the folks on dean_sam selling tickets last minute. Gold platter, guys! The opportunity was handed to me on a gold freaking platter and I never even turned around to look! Argh!

So apparently I think I've finished a comment and then stuff I've typed shows up at the bottom that I never quite finished. I am horribly disorganized *hands head in shame*

About the detox again: they're assuming that Sam can get over the addiction to demon blood by just waiting until the demon blood works its way out of his system and he stops wanting it (which are, admittedly, two different things with different timelines). But then that suggests that the demon blood can leave Sam's body and doesn't like, I don't know, transform into demon power and hides out in his kidneys forever. But that goes against the assumption that Sam was permanently tained by drinking YED's blood. But Sam's still an abomination and Different.

...I'm so confused.

*triple headdesk* I'm so stupid! I've totally presented the whole YED's a fallen angel! bit like it's a fact, whereas it isn't! It certainly at no time has been said so in the show. It's just that it’s been numerously mentioned in fandom, and apparently, something in brain liked the idea and after some sloppy Wikipedia'ing I was pretty much caught up in the theory, although naturally without actually having a real evidence. I'm completely ridiculous, so please accept my apologies, yes? I mean, it would certainly mean new discussion fodder if Azazel being a fallen angel would be actually confirmed, but in the current state of affairs it just is a mere assumption. *quadruple headdesk* Once again, sorry! That was utterly, utterly unscientific.

As for the Sam had been supposed to develop his powers back in S3 right after Mystery Spot and save Dean from hell! - I'm pretty very sure I've actually read that in an interview with Kripke/one of the writers/producers/Someone In High Places, although that was in the time when I still cared about staying informed in regards to the show. But I swear I'm not making that one up! (Like everything else, gah.)

… You're right on every account. Good heavens, but the detoxing totally doesn't make any sense! Maybe it's just that only the YED's blood has made Sam an "abomination," left a permanent mark on him? Which, again, doesn't make any sense, since Cas and Anna only had started to remark on Sam being changed in the time in which he’d begun to actually drink the damn blood. And if Sam can detox from Ruby's or any other lesser demon's blood, why doesn't he still have the powers he had in S1/2? I mean, okay, the visions maybe can be explained away by saying that every one of his visions had somehow been linked to the YED or the Special Children. But the bout of TK? ...

I don't even get what I'm saying myself anymore.

Ugh, I think both our brains have been squished by all this meta (which I looove discussin with you). But at least we've come to the conclusion that a) we need more explanation on Sam, the demon blood and exactly what kind of weird he is, b) more TK!Sam (yes please!) and c) Show is confusing in a bad way.
