Accomplishment of the Day: I finally - finally - finished the last tiny details on a fanmix I've been working on since last fall. Not Anymore is now up on

Review of the Day: Watched Little Children and loved it. It's a beautiful movie - the way it's filmed, the character's, the voice-over narration, the mini-stories weaving in with each other. There were two bits where I cringed in secondhand embarrassment and I lost count of how many times I wanted to smack certain supporting characters (and the entire community in the pool scene) for being so narrow-minded. I certainly recommend this for the story, the acting, the theme and everything in between. (PS: It was a book first, and a highly well-received one at that. The ending has one very different bit.)
Fannish Rant of the Day: As I've mentioned previous, I've started watching the new Fox *spits* television series Human Target mainly because there's a supporting actor there who currently owns my rocked-out socks. I'm sticking around with the show despite not being impressed with it - gods know I watch shows for less, right, Heroes - but I really want to lay the smackdown on whoever was in charge of making sure the show's concept (as exemplified below in the blurb) and the show itself actually matched.
This is the show's (incredibly misleading) blurb:
Firstly, if by completely integrating himself into the lives of the client you mean spending one single day with a fake identity that lets you hang around in the background whilst eyeballing your client and saving them, then sure, he "completely integrates" himself. However, my understanding of the English language leads me to believe that he's going to go on a long-term undercover thing, or at least integrate more fully than "Oh hai, i iz intrepreter! I can haz train ticket?" Nikita, now she integrated.
Secondly, hired gun. *shakes head* If the hired gun does not have a gun, does he cease to exist? If the hired gun, instead of being a contract killer, is more of a L33T hacker, does he still get paid? If I have to go to the fourth definition of the term, which really is only a long phrase for specialist, do I have the right to feel horribly misled by your label?
Thirdly, the guy hardly becomes the ~*human target*~, y'know? Not more than a body guard. I mean, I thought he'd be playing decoy at least. What Chance does is more like being a bodyguard - in the background, ninja-striking when needed - than becoming some integrated human target thing.
Fourthly, fail.
Meme - 30 Days - Day 03 - Your Favorite Television Program: I have mad love for Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Firefly, wax poetical over Queer as Folk (US) and Life on Mars, squee all over Doctor Who and Dollhouse, hug the life out of Supernatural, root for the villains on Lost, giggle incessantly with Castle and fondly recollect McGyver and Third Rock from the Sun. I am a fickle, fickle bitch.

This is the show's (incredibly misleading) blurb:
The series follows the life of Christopher Chance (Mark Valley), a unique private contractor, bodyguard and security expert hired to protect his clients. He protects his clients by completely integrating himself into the lives of the client, to become the human target. Chance is accompanied by his business partner Winston (Chi McBride) and hired gun Guerrero (Jackie Earle Haley). He puts himself on the line to find the truth behind the mission. Even his own business partner Winston doesn't know what drove him towards this life – becoming the human target.
