All God's angels come to us disguised.*
Nov. 21st, 2009 02:14 amNano: I'm nowhere near the scene, but when I get to it, I had the most brilliant idea of flashing back to Steven while Icarus bleeds out all over the backseat. *pets brain* And to set that up, a happy flashback when all three are getting in the car. Yesh, juxtapose the happy with the omgnoooooo, tha'sh good.
And and and omg because Icarus can't heal permanently, that's why he gets a drug addiction and- *screeching halt* and totally doesn't turn into Future!Castiel, nope, not at all. *sigh* Maybe.
Why can't I be writing that scene yet? Stupid long interview scene. Ic', be less cryptic or more urgent!
Nano, Later: Okay, it's nearly killed me, but I'm all caught up (after 2381 words omg) and then some (by all of 112 words, but hey). The never-ending questioning with tight-lipped Icarus is finally fucking over. Gaaaaah, that was painful. And next? Because I couldn't get Ic' to convince the dashing trio to leave with him for no-one-knows-where? He's going to stand outside and attract zombies. If the mountain won't come to Mohammed, yo. Now they'll have to go out (even though Chip's all, "no stupid heroics!") and then it's road trip again! And flashbacks, yay!

He sat like that for a while, his head in his hands, feeling Icarus’ heavy gaze on him, constant as the sun. He couldn’t bear to go any further with the conversation, couldn’t even think anymore. All he knew was that things were very, very wrong somehow, and he didn’t know whether that was due to that afternoon’s murder and mayhem with his vision going haywire, the miraculous recovery of Icarus and his cryptic answers, or the niggling realization that he was going to have to leave this cozy, homey apartment life he’d just been settling into and head back out onto the road. God, he hated the road.
“I guess you get your wish, son,” said Saunders.
Chip looked up at him uncomprehendingly, feeling utterly betrayed.
“You wanted Agatha and I to leave, didn’t you? Warned about the roof falling in, the food running out, the city’s perils in general.”
“Yeah, but – ”
“Well, that’s what we’ll do. We’ve got a car now, thanks to you, and Icarus is no longer bed-bound – ” Saunders turned to Icarus for a moment. “You’re welcome to do as you please, by the way, but if you want a ride or need anything, just ask.” He turned back to Chip, saying, “So we’re not tied to the place. Well…” Saunders looked around his living room, taking in all the familiar things and the memories they stored. “Leaving is now at least a possibility, thanks to you.”
“Oh, Clarence,” whispered Chip, and he didn’t know what else to say.
