I told my family about Nano. My dad was all, "Oh, you used to write such nice stories," although I can't remember him ever reading any of my school work, my brother said, "Well, good luck..." and my mom said, "Great, and the thesis still needing to be finished and the job that'll let you eat and pay the rent??? Or had you forgotten that detail?" and then, "Well, you can imagine that I don't understand a lot of what Chip's doing with his gun and his bread in the glove box in Des Moines!!! (where Gods passed at night**)... But it's alright if it doesn't take time away from your work, your search for a job and your social relations, these three priorities." This just all made for a very ;-; Sickle, when I wasn't blankly being blank like so o.o

Basically today's been one of those days where if I had to defend my continued existence in terms of worth, I would've been sucked back into the void faster than a Weeping Angel. I woke up around 10 or 11 (having gone to sleep at past 2 am) and by the time I was sort of set to go to work (except for the whole "clothed" detail), it was noon, so I cooked lunch, and then it got even later and I still wasn't presentable and things just weren't going anywhere so I decided to stay home and work which worked out fine except for the whole "working" part, because all I did was a graph and some formatting edits. I did watch The Faculty on YouTube because if you've got to sit and stare blankly at something, the television works well, and then I finished knitting the body of the elephant (well, one half of it), but mainly I just sat around and was a Very Blank Person. Then there was some wibbles, because basically the whole day was me trying not to cry by turning into a nice little emotionless and static void, which doesn't really work very well in the long run.

Am now going to get food, watch television and write NaNo. Tomorrow I'll re-enter the land of the living.

Don't be depressed. NaNo is good for you. It builds character! It's fun filled and action packed! You'll feel good at the end, all accomplished and stuff.

Me, I'll probably crash and burn again this year, bringing my stats down to 50% success rate. But that's ok, try try again and all that. Maybe this weekend will be a good catchup weekend...

Oh no, NaNo's the only good thing I've got going nowadays. I was just down about my family not really caring or down-right discouraging it (a lovely and endeering habit of my mother's *cough cough*).

Hahahaha... my plot is so crap this year. My last three years' plots were much less craptacular than this time. And ARGH NEED MORE TIME and stuff.

I'll be posting my progress eventually for those foolish enough to want to read. I lose more friends this way. ;-) Want in? Are you already in? I can't remember...
