bending_sickle: (Keep me?)
Look at the time and tell me if it's ok that I haven't done anything at all? I mean, not even breakfast. (I've been meaning to go get groceries for near a week now.) I canceled my plans to go to Madurodam (again) because of zomg torrential rain (which promptly stops). I need to pick up some textbooks for my Self Study thingy and I really ought to look up flight prices and schedules and stuff. It's not going to get done by itself, but I'm at the stage where I won't do something that's not life-and-death unless someone tells me to. So yeah. *sigh* Needs to get lunch now. Anyone got any zest they'd care to share? I'm all out of zest. And oompf. *crawls about lethargically*

I rewatched Journey's End last night, pinpointed my favorite part of the episode (Mickey kissing his gaint-ass gun), found Mickey sexy as hell, screamed out "Yes! (Idiot.)" at the "Does it really need saying?" (despite my lack of shipping), and seethedseethedseethed. As I was drifting off to sleep, figured it out. How things should have been fixed.

Sickle gets her hands dirty and tinkers and then discusses things. )

Things done today:

1) Internetted (thrice)
2) Babbled about Doctor Who finale on livejournal
3) Got put on waiting list for Self study textbooks at library
3b) Chatted happily with both librarian and porter/secretary guy.
4) Sudokued.
5) Ate stuff.
6) Listened to the first half of Neverwhere.
7) Failed at museum-ing because my open hours aren't in synch with the world's.
8) Resolutely did not break into a blubbery wibbly mess. Go me. (But then, I'm not really feeling much of anything most of the time. Not caring, it is of the not good.)

Not a very good list, all things considered. It's days like these that really put one's lifetime into perspective - whether you see it as an hourglass or a giant stack of calendars. Point is, today's been a waste of day, a wasted day. Might as well not have lived this particular day out, and now I'm not getting that time back.

I still desperately want to knit. (And get back to playing the piano, but getting knitting needles is a tad cheaper. And yes, I've tried drawing piano key's but I really do need the sound to relearn piano-playing, not just the visual "fingers go here".) The thing is, I do know how to knit - well, the actual knitting part of it, I can't make anything other than a long strip of knitted yarn. I never learnt how to cast on, because mom always did that for me and never actually did it slowly enough or with enough patience of me to learn it. (Which, you know, sucks.)
