GRE=0, Sickle=1
Oct. 18th, 2006 12:36 pmTook my general GRE's yesterday. I aboslutely hate the math section, especially because I need way more time than they give you. The last 30 seconds were spent staring at the screen thinking, "I know how to do this factorial question. I know I know how to do it. Just give me a minute, damn it, I need more than 15 seconds to-- d'oh!"
Preliminary results:
Vocab = 630
Math = 580
Essays: pending
I wanted to celebrate the yayness by watching Snakes on a Plane but while out in the city, it wasn't out in my lovely original langauge cinema, so instead I watched the German film Elementary Particles because it had Moritz Bleibtreu, whom I love and omg he was in Minich? WHy wasn't I told?!), Franka Potente who, apart from having an awesome name, ever shall be Lola (which is why I couldn't recognize her in the film - still have no idea who she played) and was based on Michel Houellebecq*'s novel, not the one I kinda want to read by him (that would be The Possibility of an Island, but mom say's it's not that great a thing).
That is all. I now require food and a slight distraction before diving into comparative anatomy and god know's what else.
By the way, as things are now, if I don't post, I haven't seen the internet. I'll try to catch up when I can, and comment with signs of life too.
And if you are, hypothetically, someone I met once through an equally hypothetically mutual friend and are comment-shy because you think I'm not cool with that - you know who you are, Kit's been talkin' - then get over it and comment if you like.
...um, no pressure, y'all.
* Holy fuck, he lives in Spain. In a natural park in Spain. Wtf.
