I was going to go on and illustrate my OTP with a serious fanvid, but hell, this works so much better, even if I have already linked it.

Why is it my OTP? Oooh, maybe it's the whole mortal enemies thing, or the last of their kind thing, or the grew up together thing, or the they're the only ones who really understand each other thing, or the whole "rather die than be with you forever, haha, I win", or the whole "will save your life in my quest for revenge, yeah, whatever, move, idiot", or that they're both incredibly crazy manic pretty boys.

The above reasons can also explain pretty well why my other OTP is Martha/Master. Well, those and

Well, the only entrance I really remember is Castiel's, and we all know that's been treated as the most epic entrance on the show. I mean, look, sparkly lights and everything!

Although Ruby's entrance was pretty much the height of bad-assery

And personally, I also really liked John's entrance in Shadow - the proper one, not the OMG! it's him! one in Home - which shows him in the dark, from the back, focusing on the boy's reactions. As entrances go, it's pretty much the opposite, but I love it.

40 Days of Supernatural Meme: Day 21 - What kind of plot do you prefer: Old school or the Apocalypse Arc?

I think I prefer the monster-of-the-week arc style with dashes of overall season arc. That doesn't mean I don't like season arcs - I love them - but I found sometimes the episodes suffered from the focus being too much on the season arc at the expense of the episode arc.

I mean, some episodes felt like fillers and were incredibly disappointing. Of course, you might argue that this was because they were monster-of-the-week episodes - of course they're going to feel like fillers if they don't deal with the season arc. But the sense of "focus-on-season-arc episode" being so different from "focus-on-episode-arc episode" is what bothered me in the Apocalypse arc. It was all, "focus, focus, FOCUS, hilarity, focus" and completely threw me off the loop.

So I liked it better old-school, when the season arc wasn't so omnipresent and heavy and it was more just a subtle nudge, a hint here, a word there, until the season's closing and you suddenly realize you're on the edge of your seat, running through the past episodes in your head, going, "OMG I SEE WHAT YOU DID THERE!"

But then again, the Apocalypse arc really disappointed me. The "let's stop the apocalypse" arc, however, rocked my socks. *shrugs* I like arcs in everything, as long as they're consistent and well done. Is that clear enough?
