Io sono una ragazza spagnola. Sono di statura e corporatura media, ho capellia corti, ricci e castani e ho occhi verdi. Sono riservata e tranquila.**
That's what we ended the Italian class today with. We basically dealt with the verbs to be (essere) and to have (habere). It's a bit silly how I can understand so much and yet not pull that together to speak correctly. Silly language brain centres! The sad thing though is that I'm really liking our teacher (Massimo, of course), except he's really our substitute teacher because our real teacher is sick (or "sick", who knows). So we start our lessons with him and get used to him teaching us, with his adorable and ridiculous drawings and suchlike, and then voom, new person. Woe.
My brother emailed me, not actually answering my emails except to say that no, he didn't get my postcard from Risoul either. Damnit, American postpeople! Why'd neither of the folk in your country get my postcards? Anyway, he was really writing to ask for my parents' phone number - again - and my "grr, argh, idjit" may have carried over the internet - seriously, what the hell does he want a fancy shmancy iPhone for if he doesn't save phone numbers in it? - because he first replied with a "Why so angry?" and then "Oh, I thought I'd replied already! Oops, I'll call!" So he called and after chatting (!!!) to mom, I got on the phone with him. And we talked! This being my brother who never has anything to say! Well, okay, we didn't talk all that much, but he told me about his non-interview and job hunting and Capoeira and movies he'd seen, and I told him about Ye Great Adjustment and my own job hunt and Italian course and movies I'd seen with mom. So yay.
In other, incredibly not-yay news, Alitalia totally failed at sending me my e-ticket for my flight to Barcelona this coming 27th. Fail so hard. I've scoured my inbox, as has mom, and dad needs to do the same before we wreak havoc on the Alitalia phoneline. (No, they don't have an email address. Again, fail.)
ETA: We used Dad's credit card, so we used Dad's email, so he got the e-ticket but totally, epically failed at forwarding the e-ticket to people who actually needed it (i.e. me). And then he still asks me (twice!) when I travel. Faaaaiiiiil.
