I have some major beef with that psychologist. Like, I'll rant at the screen for ages about his fail-as-psychologist. Grr.

Aw man, I was desperately refreshing the page!

Rorschach's die-hard (oh, the pun) motto was to never compromise in his pursuit of justice and the persecution of evil doers, so he couldn't keep Adrian's secret because what he'd done was wrong, never mind that the ends might have justified the means. Rorschach is all about bringing justice on the means, whatever the ends. Revealing the secret wasn't even a matter of choice for him - as he said to the shrink, he's compelled to fight.

So that's one reason Ror had to die: they needed to protect Adrian's secret, and Ror would never stop trying to spill the beans (heh).

But also I - along with some fandom folk - think it was a mercy killing ("Do iiiiiit!") because Ror just couldn't cope with what had happened, much less the idea that Adrian had brought up, that the ends could justify the means. Ror just can't live in a world where that's happened.

That said, ;_; Couldn't Jon have transported Ror to some far off happy place? (I mean, ignoring the fact that Ror's psyche was likely broken by what Adrian did.)

Those short seconds where Ror's got his mask off and is all a-wibble BREAK MY FUCKING HEART to tiny little pieces.
