Christmas in Rome when by alright, even though we're still waiting for all our furniture et al to get here, so the house is pretty empty. Parents went to the Christmas Mass on Christmas Eve and I joined them the next day for them Christmas blessing. There was Popeage! Far away in his little balcony, but still. We've also gone to the Vatican Museum (not for claustrophobics or people uncomfortable in crowds of moshpit proportions) and had delicious pizza.

I watched Watchmen finally and while I missed out on some of the conspiracy plot and though it was a touch long, I liked it. And yes, I am now totally smitten with Rorschach. This should come as no surprise to anyone considering he's a tragic sociopath (who, luckily, isn't actually evil). I watched the movie a second time arguably to understand everything but mainly to oogle at Rorschach (especially in the prison schene with the sleeveless: unf). I am, however, incapable of paying attention to his monologue voiceovers - he's like Mohinder in that way.

I'm writting this from my only Christmas present (mom's - dad and brother fail at gifting) which is a totally awesome iPod Touch. I can has Internet! Life with the folks and brother is going all right.

I totally Poped it up. We were standing in a balcony right next to his lodgings, apparently, 'cause we had special passes so we got to be ushered up a building to the balcony by the adorable Swiss guards in big red plumed helmets and yellow-and-blue uniforms. So we ended up closer than the crowd to the Pope!balcony, but even that is quite a way away. (I'm kinda sad that he wasn't what I think of as my Pope, ol' John Paul II, though.) But he gave his little Christmas Day speech in Italian (basically, "Times are hard, let's be nice.") and then said Merry Christmas in some 60 languages. Le squee :)
