Been a tad busy since returning from Toronto (and also avoiding the massive backlog of friends pages). Work is coming along nicely for once, mainly because I'm scrapped analysis for the moment and am focusing on writing the article in order. Title page? Done. Abstract? Pending. Introduction? Whooped good! At least it's what my Supervisor wants and gives me a bit more sense of "Yay! I'm progressing!" (Oh gods, I'm terrified of the analysis...)
I've been trying to eat right, although I might be failing on quantity at the moment. (Who has time to make a lunch box?!?) I've also been exercising, which so far hasn't killed me.
Today I went to the doctor to see about myabhorent deformity back, and the conclusion of two doctors is that it's a very slight deviation, perfectly normal for many people, and will absolutely not get any worse.
I call bullshit, because it isn't normal and, seeing as I was and now aren't, it can get worse. I'm neither a child, adolescent nor old crone with deteriorating bone mass, in which case you could pull the "not normal, but common" card. I tried to get a referral or number for an actual specialist, but no cigar. The doctor was all, "Oh, at the most a bit of physiotherapy will fix you right up." Except you can't do proper physio without knowing the underlying problem in all its glorious detail.
So I don't know whether to wait out four weeks (the doctor said to call her up if the pain, which is there, went on that long, which would make it a month and a half of pain which is not normal and way too fucking late to think so) or call the receptionist and see if I can get a phone number. I doubt if I'd told them that it wasn't just my back but also the outside of my hips and legs that ached would've changed anything, or that my maternal grandma had terrible scoliosis, or that someone on my dad's side also had scoliosis at pre-crone (but almost-crone) age. *sigh* Now I get to worry about every move in my spine! Yay!
In other news, I've caught up on True Blood and ship Eric/Sookie much more that I ever (if I did at all) ship Bill/Sookie. I loves me the hate and angst, what can I say? It's like Buffy/Angel vs Buffy/Spike, for crying out loud! (Plus, mmm, Eric in a black wife-beater... If only he wouldn't slouch.) Also? Fake!human Eric is hi-larious.
