One day I won't be utterly drained from doing Links of the Day and actually post about stuff, like what's been going on in my life and stuff like that. Instead all I can offer is, yes, Links, and YouTube Embeds and one massive Twitterpost about True Blood and similar. *sigh* Sorry, y'all.

Also, you may be glad to know I'm all caught up with SPN and that the current season's on hiatus until Jan. 15 (promo), so my squee will soon calm down. After which everything will continue nicely except for those of us who will be flying off to Kenya and will therefore miss out on SPN, Lost, Heroes, TSCC et al. and BObama's swearing in. That's just not fair. *pout*

One tiny word about SPN, though. OMFG. Brother versus brother. It's almost biblical.

So we've got the elder brother who sold his soul to bring his younger brother back to life, went to hell then got dragged back by an angel to fight for Upstairs, with the angels' orders being to follow his orders, and who most recently has slept with an angel-in-human-form (one who just happened to lose her grace and Fall.)

On the other hand, we've got the younger brother, infused with demon blood as a babe and destined, according to his blood-father, to lead Downstairs in the great coming war with the boatload of demons ready for his say-so, and who is, coincidentally, sleeping with a renegade demon who's retained her humanity and is fighting for the good guys.

See?!? Epic. Epic. It's got epic mythic bible thing written all over it! The duality of, well, everything, is just... My itty bitty easily-impressed mind is blown.

Also, remember how I squeed over the internal consistency of SPN? Here's a quote from Season 1:

Dean: For your sake, I hope your lying. 'Cause if it's true I swear to God I will march into hell myself, and I will slaughter each and every one of you evil sons of bitches, so help me God!

God heard ya, Dean, and he's putting you at the forefront of his army. Cheers.

On a completely unrelated note: Someone described Dean as having a "Dad" voice, the kind you shut-up-sit-down and listen to with all your childhood instincts kicking. And you know what? He totally does.
