Joker's back in town!*
Aug. 13th, 2008 09:41 pm(Trademark laugh)*
Just got back from spending a week at Gran's village, Villaveta. As you can see, it's in the middle of nowhere. (The year-round populations is round about 10 people, so it's titchy.)
Went a couple of afternoons to Burgos to see Great Aunt and her hubby, but spent most of my time with my Elder Uncle in the village. The first day I went out walking in the fields, past the bodega and down to the majuelo (family vineyard, with a few fruit trees). The next day I walked along the highway. And with that I'd done basically everything I could do and became supremely bored. I did some Self Study, but argh.
Sunday we four all went to church (shock! horror!) mainly because we'd asked for a mass for Grandma, after which we went to the bodega where we ate roasted chorizos, morcilla, and racks of lamb**.
And then yesterday I went to see Great Aunt in the morning, the four of us had lunch*** (I had roast lamb, the specialty of our province), and then off to the train. Oy vey, the train ride was a bit chaotic, because they don't announce the stops, and the train even stopped at stations it wasn't supposed to, so I had to ask a few times how much longer till my stop and also where we were.
Anywho, I'm back to the internet-world, so all's good.
As an aside, I've been having an unbelievable amount of fandom!dreams, Lost and even The Dark Knight, and as a result am jonesing for Joker fic. Oh dear, the psychotic bastard syndrome again...
