I was going to post a bunch of cool stuff, but my floppy won't open on this computer anymore, for some reason. There were fic rec's and YouTube links and... *sigh* I`ll try to get them back, in the spirit of procrastination.

First, though, here's a list of nautical terms, incase anyone (being me) is tempted to write anything...nautical. Right. active_apathy's recommended a word game, which I remember playing in English class. A post on fanficrants describes how to go about getting your fictional character out of the closet, and what to keep in mind for good storytelling.

Just remembered I lost refound a dark PotC fic hinting at Barbossa/Elizabeth, focusing on Jack/Elizabeth. *pout* It's by LJ user sionnain_fics.

das_mervin writes two sex-scenes based entirely on dialogue over at agentsands. There're pretty neat.

Alright, there was writing_samsara's Gold fic, which has 3 prequels. It's really, really good. (I haven't read much PotC fic, but this is the right kind of dark.) It's based off a challenge to write a scene each for the following: 1)spine, 2)song, 3) smoke, 4)gold, 5)box, 6)flee, 7)snake, 8) memories, 9)henna, 10)eyes.

erinya_fic tugs at heartstrigns in this character death PotC fic.

silverpenlight writes a few ficlets at agentsands.

loony_lucifer seems to have a pretty steamy vid which was recently uploaded, although I'll be damned if I know how to get it. She also recommends a song.
