That's pretty fucking cruel isn't it?*
Jul. 3rd, 2008 10:22 pmDo you go up to cripples and dance too?*
Coughing results in:
a) exhaustion
b) headache
c) gag-reflex
d) asphixiation
e) unexpected medication from concerned roommate
*coughcoughcough* *suck* *breathbrea-* *cough*
Little known fact that I just observed from personal experience: coughing is an amazing abdominal workout.
ETA: Unexpected Medication appears to be an anaesthetic, because I can't quite feel my tongue or palate. Coughing's better, though. *shrug*

Date: 2008-07-03 08:45 pm (UTC)if you start having trouble breathing, get to a doctor or an emergency room - if your tongue swells, you could be allergic to the unexpected medication, the ingestion of which is never a good idea anyway in my experience. and if the coughing keeps up at that intensity, i'd go to see a doctor anyway.

Date: 2008-07-04 03:20 pm (UTC)Oh, and I have an absolutely disgusting recipe for colds/flu:
In a big pot of water add:
- whole grapefruit
- whole apple
- whole orange
- whole lemon
- bag of chamomile tea
- tiny amount of ginger
and boil together. Then drink the result in a teacup with some honey. It's quite good for you...if the taste doesn't kill you first that is.
