I just registered for the hip hop dance class. *hyperventilates* We're talking hyperventilation Niles Crane would be proud of. *fails at finding a short panicking!Niles clip*

Gah! I'm not the type of person who dances! I'm not the type who would dance hip hop! I'm not the type who'd sign up for a class!

I'd like to be, though. So that's why it's done and I'll go. I'll grin and bear it, feel like an uncoordinated foo'. Then I'll start to like it, or by gods!

=) I hope you'll enjoy the dance lessons! I think it's pretty neat, and am thinking of joining something like that when I start school (I've been sifting through the various clubs- archery is also appealing to me).

And I'm certian everyone is going to look like an uncoordinated foo' at the beginning :P But it'll totally be worth it once you start enjoying it <3

Archery! Dude! *squee* I've shot two or three arros once at camp - well, it was a school-trip so the grade could bond - and it was awesome. Made me feel all Amazony and let's-run-off-and-live-in-the-woodsy. Do iiiiit!

I'm now a bit worried that everyone else will be uber cool and hip and stuff. But it's beginners! (Although in my beginners German class, there were people who totally weren't beginners and they ought to've been taken out back and shot for showing off the first day. *pout*)

i took a hip hop class at mcgill one semester. it was really fun- and no one else knew what they were doing, so it was all good.

please note that i could not, in fact, dance by the end of the semester. but i could manage the dance routine that we were learning OK.

i loved Stomp the Yard- i'd never seen stepping before (i think that's what it was called). i hear Step Up 2 The Streets was terrible. i would recommend Honey (with Jessica Alba) for a feel good hip-hop movie.

i have no idea. it was in third year, winter semester.

i took hip-hop, josie took irish dancing, alex took breakdancing. and i'm fairly certain none of us were very good!
