So, Tonight's Programming was cut short, but I did manage to rewatch The Family of Blood. John Smith makes my heart break every damn time. There are no clips of ol' Smithy (will not remedy, will not remedy, will not- aw, frell, maybe) but there are quite a few fanvids. This one near made me cry, a reflex I'd thought I'd conquered with this nth watching of the ep.

John Smith's 'Why can't I stay?' scenes always make me teary eyed. ;_; I have a soft spot for things like that.

It's weird but it's only scenes like that that never fail to make me cry. Ever since I was a kid. Favorite character dying, nope (though I'm used to it by now...) but put them in this kind of situation...

Oh, these scenes are so much worse than just random character death. It is a sort of "fate worse than death", obliteration, and voluntary too (even if it's "for the greater good", which just makes it worse).

The whole concept of John Smith, his very existence and all that lost potential, just... ;_; indeed

I even cried a bit when it happened in Doomsday even though I didn't like Second Season Rose. ._.
