I've been fiddling around with photoshop and have 1.5 of the covers for a mix I've concocted for airport lounges and travel. Trouble is, the pretty pictures need a tracklist, and so far, I've got just a smattering. So, readerfolk, if you have any songs related to airplanes, travel, waiting, leaving, arriving, etc., give 'em up. I'm serious, help me out here.
In other news, today's been a waste. There was the slow revving up of the engine in the morning, intersperced with "Oh my gods, I have no idea what I'm doing!" freeze-ups. Then, there was lunch, accompanied by pain. Then there was more pain. Finally, I got myself to Leiden, where I promptly discovered that a) my supervisor had gone home and b) I'd forgotten my usb stick at home. Trip wasted, I went back to the train station, had fries with about half a jar of mayo, and went home.
The only good (-ish) thing is that I chatted with a girl who'd been in my Dutch class last semester for a bit. Yays on talking to folk, no yays on these folk doing interesting and rewarding stuff and thus making me feel useless. Also chatted with another girl from my Bio classes, with much less yay because the language thing happened again. I could hear myself talking, marveling at how the words would take their sweet time in coming out of my mouth and occasionally not fit quite right. *facepalm*
Now, I have pancakes and House to look forward to. I'm on chapter 39 of Kushiel's Chosen. There's still angst of the star-crossed lover variety (whoot!) and still intrigue (which I can't actually follow for the most part).

| You scored as The Librarian You’re the Librarian! Once a wizard, now an Orang-utan (due to an unfortunate magical accident), you refuse to be turned back for a few reasons: In this form, it’s easier to reach the shelves and hold more books; having the strength of five men makes people return their books on time; life’s great philosophical questions boil down to “when do I get my next banana?‿ You say “ook‿ but are usually understood well enough.
