bending_sickle: (NOT Fine)
*waves*

This is just to say that a) I'm not dead and b) internet has finally stopped teasing me and is finally back on. I'll be needing a longer cable than the one I just bought, but still.

Also, the growth spurt from 15 back to 24 was excruciating.

*finishes watching The Hitchhiker's Guide*

*eyes half-emptied suitcases*

*gets smacked by guilt of not having started studying for Dutch exam yet*

*sigh*

Have a Random Facts meme via [livejournal.com profile] rexdart instead: Read more... )

Things are suckety. Today's been a case of the blahs, followed by panic, then teary-panic, then just tears. Called mom, who's tried to get my ass back on line - and studying for Dutch.

So that's what I'll be doing for a whole lotta hours now, folks. Sorry about the lack of actualy posting about stuff, but I'm a bit... Yeah.

Why is life so hard?

ETA: It's 3:30 and I'm just starting the day. Shoot me now.

I've been studying 6 hours straight. I feel awesome - unless I actually stop to think, so that won't be happening. And because there will be no stopping-and-thinking, there will also be no recounting-of-holiday-adventures. Yet.

Also, I'll soon be catching up on the very many episodes of Lost I've missed, so forgive me if in the upcoming posts I'm a bit squeeful. No worried about my jumping ship and joining that fandom. I've tested those waters, and found them untempting. No, not even Sayid/Jack/Sawyer did it. (Still, pretty, yes?)

Instead, [livejournal.com profile] blizzardcake**, I give you cookies! In compensation for badly-baked cakes!

Cookies! )

Links of the Day:
[livejournal.com profile] metaquotes brings us a a novel about a Russian Nazi vampire, which unfortunately exists only in L-space.
[livejournal.com profile] wtf_nature brings us a two-toed tribe in Zimbabwe (see Mohinder? Genetics!), a huge tit on a webcam *snerk* and coal mine fires that just won't quit!. (Seriously, how can we compain about running out of fuel when this is happening: There are no current plans to extinguish the fire, which is consuming an eight-mile seam containing enough coal to fuel it for the next 250 years. Around the world thousands of mine fires are burning with varying causes both natural and human. The oldest coal fire in China is in Baijigou and is said to have been burning since the Qing Dynasty. It is estimated that Australia's "Burning Mountain", the oldest known coal fire on the planet, has burned for some 6,000 years. Do something!)
