Uneventful
Jan. 31st, 2006 01:18 pmSo yesterday, which I have to keep reminding myself was just Monday, was a pretty uneventful day. It was also a cold, windy and rainy (ergo frelling freezing) day.
I woke up exhausted because the night before we´d stayed up to watch the Goya Awards, which is the Spanish version of the Oscars, up til the wee hour of 2am. I then took the bus all across town to the sea-side, walked over to the Official LAnguage School, and gave my ID card to a guy, who told me I was number 6 and gave me a printout. Then I took the bus back up and that was all I had to do that day.
Dull.
I managed to kick myself out of the houe in the pm only because I had no food. I forgot I was in Spain for a moment and didn´t weigh my own fruit, so I had to leave to very pretty pomegranates behind.
Then I didn´t watch CSI because I was talking to mom. I did, however, watch "Out of Gas" (Firefly).
There´s no poetic way of saying this: that ep rocks my little socks. It´s amazingly well-done, weaving three different times together. And Nathan is an ass-kicking actor. The little bitty whine he does when he´s trying to get up with a stomach wound is the kind of detail that just sells the performance.
