To ask it not to ache would be too much.*

I've been googling and making reference lists for some 2.5 hours and I'm achey all over. Me eyes! Me back! Me elbows!

So far, I've got 3 pages of references, and that's not counting my last google's results. I still have to download and print dozens and dozens of articles, so that I can start planning stuff a bit more concretely (i.e. fill up the huge binder of win). Sometimes you just really need to hold the paper, shuffle it around with others, rather than just change its place on a list on Word.

The most anoying thing is that I'm starting to recognize the authors. I particularly hate typing out M.G.L. Mill's name because that's a hell of a lot of innitials and dots, mister, and there's only so much shifting my fingers can handle before it all goes to pot. Good lord, I can't type anymore. Also, I keep finding the same articles. I've some neat ones, but I know for a fact that a couple really neat ones I don't have access to, because the university isn't paying them for membership. Suckety.

One last thing, which may only be amusing to me, because I did my Conservation Biology term paper on this, but naming your article The Cheetah Is depauperate in genetic variation is akin to titling one Water found to be wet. I only forgive them only because they wrote it in 1983. (As an aside, I really enjoyed researching that term paper.)

On the sucktastic side, I think for all the articles that I have, they're still too broad and not at all what I need. I mean, the itnroduction's all covered, but "factors affecting distribution"? Hah!

Two more hours until I'm kicked out, and then I still have to put in three hours worth of sweat and toil.

Links of the Day:
[livejournal.com profile] emessis's post on [livejournal.com profile] wtf_nature on Gynandromorphs: "bodies of gynandromorphic animals are basically split right down the middle, with one side being male and the other female, both internally and in appearance". Photographic evidence ftw!
For love of [livejournal.com profile] active_apathy, I'm pimping [livejournal.com profile] apathy_books, which "has one post. It's the post template. This is kind of saddening, actually. For everyone who plans to read more books this year, TELL US ABOUT THEM. Or make other people join, and do it instead. That is all."
