I'm in Toronto, back in my parents' home, after one whole year away. I can't remember where the dishes go, and the light switches are at funny heights, and I'm not exactly sleeping in my bed - Brother got there first, so I've got the guest drawer-bed thingy - but it's good to be home.

It's bloody fantastic to be with my family again, despite, yes, the novelty wearing off today and people being themselves and old patterns being worn even deeper.

But, happy and giving improptu hugs all the time. *happy sigh*

I'm also still jetlagged, so...

One more thing: tomorrow, I'm meeting lienne. *squees at ultrasonic frequencies*

Bah, I bet it's raining over there too :S In Ottawa, the snow is melting making the roads absolutely disgusting. I am not looking forward to going out tonight!

I'm beginning to think from what I've experienced in my own life and what I've heard about from others, is that family are those people where you can go back down into old patterns and wear out your welcome and still be welcomed just the same. It's pretty cool.. and absolutely annoying ;P

It's an emotional yo-yo, is what it is. The anticipation of coming home is not at all representative of what you get in the end. But, hey, there's the good bits which make it worth it.
