...because it was such a tough journey anyway.*

More 28 Days Later stuff. Like the astounding number of awards and nominations, the movies it references and is referenced in and alternate endings:

28 Days Later Alternate Ending 1. Nothing special, except for the chicken.

Radical Alternative Ending - Storyboard with Director's Commentary, Part 2

The Movie Theater Easter Egg Ending appears to be unavailable anywhere (except US DVD's, methinks, 'cause it wasn't on the Spanish one). :( Yet it exists somewhere. And it's all Fox's fault: "Fox Searchlight attached an alternative downbeat ending to all 1400 US prints of the film, while it was still in U.S. release."

DVD review although, "Seriously the transfer from HI8 to DVD does this film NO favours and removes most of the impact some of the scenes have. Also some effects that worked superbly on 35mm are completely lost or aggrivate the eye on DVD." I wonder what an FLV player will do to it? (Regardles, this movie's tacked onto my "purchase when not poor" list.)

Regarding 28 Weeks Later, take a look at what was said in 28 Days Later right at the beginning: "Before the TV and radio stopped broadcasting there were reports of infection in Paris and New York. We didn't hear anything more after that." And we're supposed to be shocked by the week ending? Dude, they're all supposed to be dead anyway? Oh puh-lease.

Quote of the Day: The Wolf Man (Film)
"The way you walk was thorny through no fault of your own, but as the rain enters the soil the river enters the sea, so tears run to a predestined end. Your suffering is over, Bela my son. Now you will find peace."
