Well...I'm back.

The return to lovely ol' Spain has been somewhat distressing. lj-cut>I stepped into my apartment around 12:30 pm local time (which was 6:30 am for me, who was on a paltry 1 hour of sleep). I cought sight of Ines as she was leaving. As I tried dialing home, I was informed by a recording that the service has been temporarily suspended. Meaning, I haveth no phone. (Well, I can recieve calls.) Turns out my roomamtes just happened to forget to pay the bill. WHich was due Dec 10. Am I wrong, or should you not run to the bank the second you realize this and pay up? Ines has had over 2 months to calculate how much we all have to pay for the phone and other expenses, and they're not done yet. It's not that fucking hard. She'll (not "we'll", as has been mentioned) just have to pucker up and sit down and do it today, 'cause we're paying rent tomorrow.

Speaking of, Sunday Aloa told me that the landlady hadn't found my envelope of cash for the December rent. Now, I distinctly recall running around the to the bank, frantically searching for old envelopes, paranoically checking and rechecking, even on my way out, that the envelope was there. Thankfully, though, she believes me and won't ask me to pay it again. However, this means that my envelope of cash just randomly disappeared. Considering the number of people who've lived in this apartment and not retruned their keys, this makes me a might twitchy.

The other half of my time here has been spent in bed. Either lying there in exhaustion all afternoon Saturday, waking in disorientation swearing I was in To (but still knwoing I couldn't be) then having my heart break a little at the mirage, sleeping over 17 hours into Sunday afternoon, then come Sunday night, sleeping from 11 to 12:30 then having a delightful stretch of 5 hours of insomnia.

Currently, I'm an envelope and stamp away from sending out a request for more GRE Bio results (at which I rule, see below) and noting that Maryland won't even open my application if I don't send them a Finances Form (which I havn't sent, but will try and figure out very, very soon).

Total Score 770 (percentile 84) with Cell. and MOl. Bio section at 91 percentile, Org. Bio at 82 percentile and Ecology / Evol. / POp. Bio at 71 percentile.

Needless to say, not happy to be back. Fortunately, still somewhat dazed, so it hasn't quite hit me yet.

** Mom's struggling though this book; I photocopied the chapter this quote comes from, #21 "Can't You Sleep?" I thought it'd be great to have this in case of insomnia.
