bending_sickle | Drowning in a sea of pink

I have a skirt. It's flowy and tricolour, like those hippy shirts that fade from one tone to the next. This one's orange-red.

I washed it yersterday.

Now, I'd been lax in washing this skirt for a long while now, because it hadn't been washed before and I didn't know how it would react. I'd been planning on washing it by hand (ugh) but the joy inherent in that meant I'd never get around to washing it.

I now have no white underwear.

No, that's not because I lead an exciting undies-life. The´'re all pink. Girly pink. Candy-cotton bunny pink. Omg-it's-pink pink.

My Eric Idle t-shirt? Also pink.

I totally need a "challenge" themed icon too, for all those crack!fic ideas. I have a "batshit insane" one, but that's for slightly more fleshed out crack!ideas.

My current challenge!crack are 1) writing a story with no dialogue, just "then she said she wouldn't blah blah blah" and 2) write a haggling scene with the dialogue entirely in Chinese, using only description to let people know what's what.

In other news: Prof #2 has refused to provide me with references, but nicely, saying he doesn't know me that well and I didn't do spectacularly in his class. He suggested I ask a prof I've worked for or volunterred, or got a great grade with, or saw in various classes.

Guess what, Tony: I did so already. Some universities ask for three references, which makes pickings a bit slim. (There is no way in hell I'm asking Kramer again. Bastard has given me enough self-doubt as it is. PLus, there's the whole "making me cry" thing, which wasn't coo'.)
