Bring on the gay
Jul. 19th, 2006 10:19 amThat seemed to be my motto yesterday, seeing as I watched Sommersturm with some folks from my German class and my prof, then watched Queer as Folk.
Watching some scenes in both the movie and show was almost as good as reading slash. Which is wierd, 'cause maybe it should be the other way around. But then, I love words more than I love pictures.
Nevertheless, have falling back in love with the cocky* tough guy who sleeps around with everyone but is secretly in love with the young blond with the school-boy appeal and perfect smile.
Such a lovely couple too. I mean, on one side, you've got age, bad-boy-ness, experience and a lack of showing "who's my widdle biddle sweetie pie" feelings, but on the other side you've got youth, nubileness (which I'm almost sure is a word), innocence-ish-ness, all fresh and squicky clean.
Good grief, I've got so many 'ships Imight need a port could gather them together into a pirate fleet and pillage and plunder every fandom for fics.
*is in happy slash-land*
PS: Think I failed to mention that last weekend I watched Lord of War, and that it was disturbing, and that Nicolas Cagé's tone of voice is a tad boring for a narration.
* No dirty pun intended.
