I've been in a Buffy the Vampire Slayer mood and at the moment I'm watching "The Harvest" (1x02). Oh, Xander, how I loved your quips! Oh Willow, how adorably shy you were! Oh Giles, how stuffy and English you were! Holy mother-loving Buddah, Angel, how snarky you were! How confident! Where the hell did that go? I'd completely forgotten the reason why I had such a huge crush on Angel, even before he turned into Captain Forehead McBroodster. (See? This is why I love Angelus! He's the Angel we met in 1x01-02!) And Minion Luke, how I've always loved your voice! It's like a chocolate muffin! (Or maybe that's just the cravin' talking...)Lovin' the trip down memory lane, by the way.

Anywho, so there I am, watching my teen years wave happily at me, when Willow says something. And suddenly my brain jumps forward seven years and says, holy shit y'all.

It's very much a "women are awesome and strong and will beat the shit out of evil things" (and was like a pioneer in that area too).
