I've been paying more attention to the visual aspects of Supernatural recently, discovering neat little parallels. The following parallel, however, surprised me so much it smacked me upside the head.








The hand! The haaaaaaand! It's on the same opposite shoulder! In the same way! One's a demon hand - or fallen angel, depending on where you draw your canon from - and one's an angel hand! One's a hand that dragged the man to hell, one's the hand that dragged him out! Mirror parallels! Exclamation point!


So we all noticed that Grandpa Samuel's angel-banishing sigil wasn't quite the one we're used to, which is:



But what I just realized is that Crowley taught Samuel the sigil which threw Castiel out of the building and led the boys to being caught. Now, in light of Crowley and Castiel's partnership, I've figured out just what the alterations to the sigil mean.


It's Enochian for, "YOU BREED WITH THE MOUTH OF A GOAT"

Does this make Castiel the whore of Babylon? Because, as Crowley says, "a whore is a whore is a whore."
