Everybody's coming to get me*

bending_sickleI am totally vindicated of the charge of being ridiculously suspicious of Inés' question yesterday morning.
Why?, you ask.
Because last night, thefirst** second thing Aloa said to me was whether I'd heard from the universities.
They've been talking about me and methinks they want to know when I'll be leaving.
Another coincidence is that Aloa also gave me the whole "why you hide in your room, woman" speech. I replied quite tartly that I do not hide out in my room. The fact that she comes into the apartment round 10:30-11:00 pm might play a factor in my being in my room. And I don't find the idea of hanging out on the misshapen and dusty sofa all my myself watching 20 minute commercial breaks to be of the good.
A new chick'll be moving into the apartment Sunday. Let's see how that goes.
I've been chatting about Lost with my younger coworker, Victor, in English so he can practice. Pretty neat.
Mom brought me a few things from across the pond, best of which are CD's of Les Cowboys Fringants, Daniel Belanger and Nora Jones. I'm particulary enjoying DBelanger's Seche tes Pleurs.
We met up yeterday after work and walked home for lunch. On the way mom made the mistake of calling my brother and then spent the rest of the walk home ranting and crying over him. Then over lunch mom told me all the things I should have done and should be doing as well as bemoaning my lack of friends or acquaintances. Then I ranted about my roommates.
In the afternoon we took a stroll and the mood shifted nicely. We even had ice cream (Haagen Daaz Coconut and Cookies now owns my soul). We'll be alone with Gran this weekend. That's right: the Maiden, the Mother and the Crone.
