Just a note first: icon totally not mine, but someone else (see user pics) who´s quoting the Harry Potter "Shoe Box Project". I just thought it was totally appropriate.

Yesterday was cool. My uncle Pablo, who´s on vacation from Burgos, came up to Barcelona from Cubelles, and we had lunch. (Had a brownie for dessert, which was good but not at all as delicious as the House of Jazz´s.) I was an amazing chatterbox (albeit some of it was forced, because I figured I had to talk). It was nice, because of the two uncles I´ve always been more comfortable with Pablo (well, spent more time with him too, when little).

It was also interesting to catch alterior motives on my uncle´s part. By which I mean the casual questions as to how I´m feeling, whether I´ve thought about going to the gym, whether I´m settling into Barcelona alright. Then, of course, the actual "you haven´t fainted again have you?"

No. No, Im fine. Have the mother of all headaches and need to be surgically attatched to a box of kleenex, but fine. Think might make appointment with Dr. just because I can and haven´t had a full revision since...summer of 2000? And that was because I was going to camp in France.

After that I went to a bookstore and cruised around for ages, finding an adorable comic book (by Lewis Trodheim) with hundred and hundred of itty bitty panels, like stop-motion animation, of this little "Mister I" whó alternatively dies trying to steal pie, steal an apple or a fish. Very humerous.

I also skimmed through the cover of Audrey Hepburn´s How to be lovely book, and through SBaxter´s second book, Icebones about Mammoths roaming free on Mars after being defrosted. (Why would colonists take mammoths to Mars?)

Also saw a bunch of books by Amelie Nothomb, the author I went to see chat a while bak. I found Mercure which she´s mentioned because it actually has 2 endings. Isn´t that awesome?

And then I bought the one and only copy of Neil Gaiman´s Smoke and Mirrors because I had to. It´s also worth it. Had a horrible sense of guilt becaue I´m not used to spending money but omg it´s Neil.

So happy.

There´s a link to where I can listen to him reading some story (not Shogolth´s Old Peculiar which I downloaded from his site* anyway).

Regarding the last part in my title, I got a phone call from www.vueling.com, a new airline, for an interview. Interview is tomorrow, so naturally I´m nervous and preocupied. Especially because the place is fucking far.

The lady asked me why on earth could I possibly be interested in an airline, if my cv is only about bio.

1) The bit in my CV that´s bio? That´s me UNIVERISTY EDUCATION. That´s all. There´s more to my cv, if you´d just read.
2) Continuing from number 1, may I point out that I speak four langauges? And that you´re an airline? Do the math.

Edit: Just went to vueling´s website and they don´t have an English version of their site. They have italian, french, spanish, basque, but not english. Wha?
