Yesterday I got a package from my brother in the mail: awesome belated birthday present is awesome!

Planet Earth is an Emmy Award and Peabody Award-winning BBC nature documentary series narrated by David Attenborough and produced by Alastair Fothergill. It was first broadcast in the UK from 5 March 2006. The American version is narrated by Sigourney Weaver.

...wait, what? Like, polar bear levels of "what". They had different narrators for UK vs. US?!? Wha- how- whuh- why?!?**

*runs to check DVD box* Phew! I got David \o/

In other news, I'm tired, cold, have mere veggies for dinner, have to work still loads on project proposal and have only a day and a half to study for the marketing exam Thursday pm. Also, coughing a stupid insistent cough.

And in the "not collosaly sucky" column, we have Heroes 3x03. :D

I think they have different narrators for stuff like Mythbusters too, sometimes on our crappy!Cable channels the episode will be narrated by a woman, when if you watch it on Discovery the same episode is narrated by a guy (now that I think, it might be a guy with a British accent too...)

Don't know why they do it, though in the case of Mythbusters I'm glad they do because the Discovery Channel's voice-over is much better.
