Help me if you can*
Sep. 28th, 2008 04:02 pmAs you guys may have gathered, I'm working on my project proposal for the Amboseli Lion Project. I've almost done with it** and I've been spending some time on the observations sheets. (Mainly because they're easy and I'm sick.) Some of the observations include ear scars and tooth wear, and being the visual person I am, I figured it would be best to have a diagram along with the multiple choice on the observation sheet. I do have a drawing of Generic Lion Ears from last year's, but they're lacking in awesome.
So, dearest flisters, I was wondering if someone would be awesome enough to do me a little favour. I've got lovely photographs I want to use, but I wanted to alter them to be more black-and-white generic-drawing than actual-photograph. Like, with the edges, but not the fur-covered insides. If I recall correctly, there's some filters on photoshop that could pull this off - the comic-drawing effect, for one. Unfortunately, I'm Photoshopless, and Paint isn't quite cutting it. Constrast and black-and-white can only do so much.
Would anyone be willing to give this a try? You'll get credited*** and everything!

Got turned into:

What I have now from last year, for the ears:

Sad, isn't it?
* "Help", The Beatles
** Except for a bunch of methods questions and dates, of course.
*** Real name or pseudonym, it's all good.

Date: 2008-09-28 04:14 pm (UTC)If all else fails, I can a) give up or b) print-trace-scan. But I'd really like better-looking outlines where I can jot down observations than the squiggly-ears

Date: 2008-09-28 05:23 pm (UTC)That's the best I could do with the ears for the moment. I can go back and do a proper outline by hand as soon as Photoshop stops being a bitch. Startin' on the teeth now.
