The beautiful man is dying!*

I finally caved and looked up David Anders (Heroes' Adam "Kensei" Monroe) on YouTube. Specifically, his character Julian Sark (not to be confused with the small island in the English Channel o.0) on Alias.
First off: Sark's English. (Anders' accents sounds a bit more cultured in this incarnation, compared to Kensei's.) Second off: eeeevil *happy sigh* and layered. Take that, one-note Kensei. Third off: Wiki claims he's kinky. *happy place* And the whole mysterious-background and questionable-moral-compass thing is going on too, apparently.
There appear to be quite a few Sark-centric clips, such as this one (where not only is he hot, sneaky and feisty but speaks in Italian! *ovaries go voom*).
*watches clip all the way through* Fred! *incoherent pointing* *hand-waving* Amy Acker ftw!

While I hesitate to smack Matt Parkman with the Science Stick for Greater Justice, I may have to poke him with it a little. (It's the only stick I have. Seriously, if I had Claude's Teaching Stick, it would so be used in this case. Or even a Teaching Twig. ...ooh, me likes.)
So Matt, meet Teaching Twig. Its purpose is to poke and instruct. The throwing off of buildings is an absolutely guaranteed no-no with this twig. *pats Matt* 'Cause you're my squishy ball of funny. (Except for That Time We Shall Never Speak Of Again. You do not make with Mama Petrelli beg and you do not use your kid as a guinea pig.)
Last Season, Mattykins used his policing skills to stop the finale's Big Bad from bringing about the End of the World**.
There we saw that a) Matt didn't learn from his first Epic Fail of shooting Sylar:

In fact, Sylar isn't fazed by guns. Ever.

b) Matt didn't quite grasp the whole "telekinesis" thing all too well:

Three, count them, three bullets.
c) either Matt's triger-finger had spams or his reaction to "Wow, bullets not working" was "Shoot more bullets". This only works in video games. (Seriously, he kept on shooting even though Sylar tele-stopped them.)

Four bullets that we can see, plus lil' invisible bullet. (The fandom-count is five bullets, and you'll have to take their word for it since I neither have a clip nor decent screencap.)
Analysis also shows us that c) Matt shot to kill (which is a major peeve of mine, especially coming from a cop) both with aim and number of bullets.
And it's not like these mistakes didn't leave any lasting impressions:

So skim ahead to Season Two's finale, where Matt uses hispolicing speshul skills to stop this Season's Big Bad from bringing about the Apocalyse.
Funny how in both cases it's Peter, in the end, who's the Harbinger of Apocalypitic Doom. Now, bear in mind that Matt has already met Peter and had another show-and-tell of Epic Fail.

In this case, Matt goes through the same actions: come out guns blazin' and shoot 'em down. Only this time it's with Mental All-Caps.

The process is the same: despite Epic Fail, Matt keeps shooting and gets another lesson.

Matt Parkman, listen to the Teaching Twig, for it is spry and stops you from making the exact same mistake over and over again. Now go, my pretty, and share the wisdom with Peter, the (Constant) Harbringer of Apocalyptic Doom.

lay_of_luthien is the creater of those gods-awesome animated Heroes icons you may've seen floating 'round. She*** has also made a large, animated image (clicky "gods-awesome") of "Sylar doing the Slice 'O Death behind Maya's head. Just because." It's mesmerizing and disturbingly sexy.
