(Did you see who carved out the valley? Would you recognize that glacier if you saw it again?)*
I went with my uncles to Benasque, Aragon for the week end (stock photos here). It's a 3 hour ride from Cubelles, if you drive like a speedymadman like my Uncle.
It rained all weekend, which meant we couldn't walk around the woods and mountains as much as we could've, but it was still nice. (I love that kind of foggy wet weather anyway.) Sunday we took a stroll through the woods, saw cows, lots and lots of upturned mud thanks to wild boar, and had the most apple-tasting wild mini-apples I have ever tasted. Delish'!
We spent all the time with another couple my uncles are friends with, but they're nice (although one smokes, which isn't cool). There were a few endless covnersations about wild mushrooms, but I zoned out on those.
I've confirmed something: I want a little cabin in the woods. Seriously. With skylights, and an upstairs, and a pretty little view of trees. Their apartment was really neat: top floor, so it had 2 floors (or 3, if you want to count the itty bitty room at the top, big enough for just a single bed), and you could hear the rain falling on the skylights, and you'd wake up to a gorgeous view...
