I have betas! I am deliriously happy about this.**

Brother's crossing the pond later this month, though he'll have to wander about Madrid before visisting me. That's ok, I can wait. I've only been expecting him to come visist for a year. Mom'll come round around that time as well. Ah, visitors. :)

Now reading The Big Over Easy and every time I shut the book, I am forced to exclaim, "I love Jasper Fforde." For yea, the man is funny.

Example:

"He spent the greater part of his life campaigning to have respelt those words that look as though they are spelt wrongly but aren't. [...] Oh, skiing, vacuum, freest, eczema, gnu, diarrhoea, that sort of thing. I love fforde as well!! I'm rereading something rotten right now, and wish i had the big over easy. you are a lucky girl.

Its not that I think myself so forgettable, but more that I like having a title. Plus, there are many a Dominique in the world.

I am eterneally grateful to you for recommending the Thursday Next series and thus bringing Fforde into my life.

I'm curious, have you read Terry Pratchett? He's a bit like Fforde...

I have never actually read Pratchett, though people have recommended it to me for years. It's on my list, however, and I mean to get there eventually.
