In just 14 hours I'll be jerked awake by 2 alarm clocks screaming at me that it's 4 am-ish. In 17 hours I'll be lugging my trolley into the overhead compartment of ze plane. Some 13 or so hours later, I'll be landing down in the T-dot.
Don't get me wrong: I love flying. I love the take-off** and landing, the rumble of the engines, the glorious view of the clouds or stars, the bird's eye view of city lights...
But then I think about the waiting, the stress, the rumbled sweaty clothes, the "food", the lines, the waiting, the boredom, the lack of sleep*** and then the waiting...
Still: squee!!!
You guys can ponder on about the linguistic beginnings of "warlock" and "fuck", amongst others, on
