Nanowrimo: Writing so much easier now! Wrapping up things! Sort of. I mean, there's still Icarus to worry about, but that's mainly behind the scenes and a lot of "and they looked for him and didn't find him until aha!" Wow, it certainly feels like we're drawing on the final leg. \o/


Random Supernatural Comments and Revelations:

• I just realized that in It's a Terrible Life, Dean's last name was Smith, Sam's last name was Wesson, and this makes Smith&Wesson, which is a gun company, like the Winchester. How did I not put this together before? And Chip's got a bloody S&W! I should've realized this earlier!


• In Life Free or Twihard, the creepy twins of creepy are eerily similar to The Shining's creepy twins of creepy in that they basically have the same dress on. Plus, the Shining twins get covered in blood, and the Supernatural twins are playing with blood. I see what you did there!


• I came across fanvid set to Great Big Sea's The Chemical Worker's Song. This upset me. And made me flail angrily. And a lot of other things which can only be expressed in gestures and grunts. For one, it says it's "a humorous video", which it is not, because 1) the music absolutely kills any funny within a ten-mile radius and 2) the clips are not really all that funny. Honestly, the song is not the go-to for humor, and I can almost forgive the paltry editing such as the long clips and the whole general disorganized feel of it despite all of the clips coming from the same episode. But I really can't be all that forgiving because there's no pattern or theme or anything and it feel like I'm watching a video of notable clips of the episode with the sound turned off and the song playing in another tab. What anoys me more is that it could have been alright, it could almost even have worked.


• I thought I was going to talk a bit about this week's episode, but apart from saying, "OMFG, the hilarity!" I got nothing much except ♥


• I am highly amused that the same week that Supernatural does an X-Files homage episode, Castle does the same thing. The crossovers, the joy, the hilarity! \o/

Chip helped out where he could, wrapping gauze around wounds with Martha and hauling bodies with Thomas. It wasn’t a pleasant contrast of activities, but Chip was too anxious to notice. Everyone was pretty quiet around the camp, talking only about the wounded or the repairs.

Chip was desperate to talk to Dean.

Just got a ping back that you mentioned my SPN fic 'Cry, Little Sister'. I wanted to drop by and say thank you for mentioning it. I just recently returned to the fandom after a partial absence for the past couple of years.

No problem! Cry Little Sister is on my to-read list. The summary sounds really interesting, the prologue starts it off in a great way, and the writing's looking good, so I'm looking forward to it :)
